Forgive me if this is a stupid question, but I've been searching the internet on this and haven't really found any straightforward answers.

So, I want to try and export the faces of several prominent turians from the series (Pallin and Chellick are two examples) for use on a mini-project I'm doing. I know that aside from Garrus and Saren, there really are no other unique Turian face maps. There's a base diff texture of a barefaced turian, and then I know there are several RGB tint maps that create a unique skin tone, and then a unique tattoo pattern/color.

That being said, what is the best method, outside of the games, to recreate individual Turian faces? How does one combine the Turian head's diff and RGB textures to create specific skin tones and tattoos? What programs do you need (Photoshop or a similar program, or something else entirely)? Also, are there game files that tell you exactly the tones or RGB tints or other qualities that a certain character's face has? I recall finding some files like that in ME1's files that had to do with appearance data, but I wasn't able to open them in a legible way.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can offer some insight. I know this has been done before, as I've seen Turian characters ported to various other sandbox games like Garry's Mod. I'm just trying to figure out how I do it, and how I can get the faces as close as possible to the original in-game ones in the process.

Oh man, don't even get me started on doing this with Asari.. The best I've managed to do is get the colours from screenshots, and use a mix of multiplying, saturation, hue, colour, whatever tools you have available really until you get the desired look. I personally use GIMP myself, so I'm unaware how different Photoshop would be, but all you really have is what textures are given. I wish I could be more of a help. (Layers are your friend). I also remember stumbling across files a few days ago, BioMorphFace according to UEViewer, but unfortunately that seems to not be able to extract them.
