Like some previous posters in this thread, I have a serious concern that the PC UI will be dumbed down and handicapped to match the limitations of the controller based UIs. Even though the multiplayer is cooperative, they're probably trying to prevent PC users from having an advantage over console gamers, and the result could very well be that the KB+M functionality will wind up being gimped.
It is pointless, of course. It's so easy to macro commands on the keyboard that there will always be an advantage to using one over a damn controller. Truth is, those of us who are over 40 need a little edge to make up for lost reflexes and response time. Despite Microsoft's best efforts to stop us, a lot of us are gonna keep playing games on Windows platforms until developers start releasing them for Linux systems (which will never happen.)
I'm really tired of console garbage getting in the way of my PC games, and multiplayer stealing focus away from my single player experience. It's gotten to the point that I expect it, but I still resent it.

It's so frustrating. I do know at least the mouse cursor exists though, since there was a video from SDCC where they forgot to unmute the computer and had to alt tab out of the game, then when they went back in, the cursor showed up for a few seconds...but other than that... /sigh

At Gamescom they said that they'll need two more weeks to finalize the code for the PC UI - should be ready by now. I think we'll see footage of it anytime soon.

@spacediscosaurus - Hey! That's actually good to know. That gives me bunches of hope. I wouldn't be happy about them limiting the hotbars (if that is the case), but not having a mouse cursor where we can point and click on the sceen for waypoints and targeting was my biggest fear.
The x-com spinoff game The Bureau didn't have a point and click interface and they wanted you to navigate your targeting reticule around the battlefield like it was controller based. One of the few games that found itself uninstalled long before I even got into it. One of those games I consider trash, and I really like the xcom franchise overall. It had other problems too, but that whole lack of point and click was very memorable.

That tells you something about how low a priority the PC UI for DAI.

Yeah seems xbox gets in the way of decent pc ui again go figure, but we will see just expect to be disappointed.

Looking at it, it looks like it's so they can have clear buttons for the commands (defend, etc.). I actually don't mind that so much.
