Well the breather works but the armour is still the white/blue colour scheme that it's by default, does your (Ottemis) HR Liara mod override the alt armour as well? because if it does that might be why, and if it does't then I still have no idea why the armour is still white. At least I have the breather now though

If you installed the alt armor retexture, yes. I do have one.
I don't package the different squad armors together, so it's not bundled with the default armor or so.

I think deadmeat or smarteck did one as well with carbon instead.

Well no that isn't the one I have, maybe I should try and play it with no textures added apart from the carbon fibre and see if it works then. Thanks for all the help so far though!  :) also if all else fails i'm probably going to use that one instead  :P

well I'm lost, I completely reinstalled ME3 and then installed the MOD file for the breather and the armour still doesn't work. So I'm not sure if this is still being worked on as a v1.4 but if it is then I'll wait for that and if it isn't then I unfortunately just can't seem to use it  :(

I must say that I'm surprised you're having such trouble with this mod, sorry about that.  Thanks to Ottemis for being on top of things in this forum!

Are you installing any other mods before this one that would modify the alternate armor?  Based on what is happening so far, I'm assuming that your game has different hash values for the alternate armor for some reason.  Could you tell me where you bought it from (the region) and what distribution system it's using?

I believe it would be best to run texmod in logging mode and determine the hash values for the diffuse, specular, normal map and squad selection images.  You can see a tutorial made by saltisgood that covers that  on youtube.  He covers more in that tutorial but the part I'm referencing is around the 2 minute mark.  You'll need to have Liara in your party with the alternate armor equipped.  If you have console commands enabled you can use the "ce hench_picksquad" command to change party members in the middle of a mission.  Just export the images (log them) and the filenames that are output will contain the hash values for each.  Then you can create your own TPF file or send me the files and I can create a TPF file for you.

Thanks!

I've got and saved the squad selection one, the glowing squad selection one (after you've selected her) and I've also got her basic armour (taken in game, the one that's spread out like it's 2D) so what is the 4th one?

Also not sure the best way to share so I've just uploaded the three I've got to mediafire here's the link, please forgive the name I'm new to this and I don't plan to make a hobby out of it, best leave it to the professionals I think  :P

EDIT - I think I found some more, that might be relevant so I've uploaded them to the folder as well, hope I've got everything you need, Thanks for all the help!

Hmm, the hash values you have are the same as the ones in my TPF so perhaps the problem is something else.  Have you gotten Texmod replacements to work with any other files?  The breather works because you just replaced the game files directly with the MOD probably so you didn't encounter any Texmod problems.

Also, you can always install my mod instead of using Texmod as well.  I typically only use Texmod for logging/development and not for actual play.

Yeah, everything else I use with Texmod works. EG Ottemis' HR Liara default and numerous others of his HR tpfs (none that overlap with the atl armour) so I think texmod is working, I think. So me being new to this I have no idea whats wrong and so how would I install it without texmod, as thats the only thing I've ever used for textures (successfully) I know that you can use texplorer, however I've never managed to get it to work without braking ME and so it might take me a wile to learn how to use it properly and so in the process of learning I may and probably will cause more problems

I would read over Ottemis' ME3 Explorer tutorial first to make sure your tree is scanned and everything is in place first.  After that, you can use the TPF/DDS tool with the TPF file to install mods.  Texplorer is a more advanced tool which I would only use if TPF/DDS tools don't work for you.

Texmod just performs an in-memory swap of files but it has a very long injection time.  And apparently doesn't work sometimes for some reason.  Not to mention that it is a bit unstable as it hasn't been updated for 5 years.  I personally don't recommend Texmod unless you want to first test a mod or if you're developing and need to swap things around quickly.

Well it worked using the TPF tool first time, I feel like such a muppet now. Thanks for all the help guys!  :D It looks even better now that I can actually see it in the game, judging by tutorial for using the TPF tool that you linked me to, am i right in saying if I use that to install all of my other TPFs then I don't need to use Texmod as the change will be permanent?

As long as those TPF's are compatible with the toolset, you should be able to easily apply them.

Yup, what she said--I have over 250 textures replaced I believe.  I'm pleased that you got everything working now.
