BioWare:  "Balance changes for this week, the +5 axe of templar slaying is 5 pounds heavier, does 3.87 less damage and now has a chicken head as a pommel.  The staff of mooning now weighs 3 pounds less and the lightning damage penetrates 2 inches more and does 3 points more damage."

BSN:  "WAIL!  What a joke!  I just got my axe up to +5 last night and now they nerf it!    I'm not sure if I am going to play anymore.  Biowere pls!!!"

They should include a Reegar Carbine staff.

I also find it amusing that apparently it's the Staff of Mooning that gets penetration.

I'm looking forward to delicious tears on bsn during nerf wars. An amount of whining was staggering and hilarious in nerf threads, especially after Piranha nerf. The best way is to actively abuse OP weapon like Krysae and then get popcorn and enjoy the show when it's nerfed to the ground.

They will also nerf any way to get gold faster so we buy their microtransactions.

More likely they have a specific gold/hour generation rate in their design, and elements that skew this rate one way or the other will get looked at the revised accordingly.

And, of course, that rate is no doubt calculated to be high enough so players feel a proper sense of progress, but low enough to prompt people with more money than time to pay up.

Bioware, no nerf ma Reaver.

It will be nerfed on the day 1 patch so you won't feel the pain.

So, are you going to start the balance discussion group or should I?

They can't get it perfect the first time, so this will definitely happen.

Also, there was a decompiled version of the bioware multiplayer code and some of the stuff in there was wow

Yes, we all know how the self appointed keepers of 'balance' think.

I'm sure their pouring over the trailer now figuring out the things that just won't do for all us ordinary people.

"Oh no, that's much to good for the likes of you"

Indeed. I'm going to spend twenty hours and one million gold to get that Legendary Staff of 'Splosions +5, and it's going to get its damage and blast radius halved the day after.

Does anyone remember how much balance adjustment there actually was in ME3MP?

I assume the bulk of adjustments would be done in the coupe of weeks after launch and after each DLC - at other times it would be minor tweaks?

Don't need to worry about balance changes if it's PVE only.

Normally developers tweak balance in patches, some big, some small. Not sure what Bioware gonna do, they had some weird "balance changes" and patches..

At least Bioware was brilliant in making these individual characters so that when the inevitable nerfing commences it doesn't mess up the SP stuff.   *eye glares at ESO*

For all the talk of nerfing, the MEMP pretty steadily got easier as time went on.  I wonder if DAMP will be the same?
