Has bioware ever showed any stats for what class is played what % of the time?

Not that I know of. To me, it doesn't matter; the point is to kill the restrictions since they have outlived their usefulness. What rogues do doesn't leave, just what they are. But it doesn't really matter much since everybody in MP is its own mini-class; I just left that in as a bit of joke about my disdain for rogues. :P

I think that unfortunately, every possible class option will need to use weapons. That rules out the mabari, though I could see maybe a smaller sylvan or a werewolf using weapons, I find it unlikely...

I'd love to see some pet-using classes if possible. Ash warrior with a mabari, dragon cultist with a drake, Orlesian nobleman with a trained wyvern...

Actually, now that I think about it, the shapeshifter could potentially use sylvans or werewolves as shapeshifting targets, given some justification for why s/he is probing the mind of such a creature (loved one turned into a werewolf, perhaps?).

As for dragon cultists, that's another fun summoner idea, though drakes tend to be a bit on the large side...

I share in that now.   I used to love playing the thief/rouge/assassin class.  Then it got to the point where everybody I knew that played games refused to play anything else...all of my friends play the exact same character in Skyrim as well...in MP games many times with PUGS you can't even get a good team because everyone just wants to be the rogue.  After a while I started to hate the class and roll my eyes when I see them being played.  I like to poke fun at people who play them also...at least these days.

Remove Rogues? Hell no, I would be bored as hell playing as Fighters and Mages. You don't like the idea of class restrictions I get it but, I do like class restrictions.

Well, let's restrict dual wielding to dwarf females, make all two-handed warriors wear cloth armor and be tanks, give bows to assassins, and force all mages to wear dunce caps, wield spoons, and be named Tim. Yay meaningless restrictions!

So, fighters should get too run around in heavy armor with a sword & shield and be able to lock pick, disarm traps and use the stealth skill why not just make DA The Elderscrolls. Edit: Also, the restrictions you just suggested are meaningless as they were ment to be nothing but a snide remark because I don't share your point of view.

I'm going to respond in a PM, since this topic is about MP and not about rogues.

Don't bother.

From the Twitter thread:

Something from the Nerd Appropriate podcast:

The devs would like to explore golems and werewolves for playable MP characters, if they get the chance.

Yes!

If we are getting mention of the devs wanting to explore playable golems and werewolves even before the game is out, then the chances of getting the more fantastical creatures; the more non-humanoid characters; are far more likely.

If we do actually get golems and werewolves; especially if those MP kits don't use weapons and armor; then I can (excitedly) look forward to playable Rachni and Elcor in ME: Next  :D
