By the looks of the MP videos I am safely assuming no FF in MP
Friendly fire in Dragon Age: Inquisition.

Actually, I wouldn't mind seeing hazards on maps that could damage teammates.

The only "acceptable" FF in multiplayer would be being able to damage oneself. So that the player is encouraged not to spam Fireballs at his feet. But then again, if the class you're playing doesn't have a way to relieve pressure aside from using these type of AoE powers, then it would suck major balls. So, no, FF would be a horror.
In single player though, it's a welcome feature. Makes you think twice about what you're about to do :]

Hello everyone!...
I can't remember if we had friendly fire in former Dragon Age games, but I would really like to have it in Inquisition. I don't like casting a fire spell over both friends and enemies, and see how a fire storm (e.g.) only damages the enemies while my characters are immune to the flames. In my opinion it snatchs importance to strategy, and simplify the game....
....so what do you think?
(This question is for both Single and multi player modes).
There is friendly fire in SP, and if you want friendly fire on MP, then you need to play heartbreaker and fight red templars.
Edit: ops only just realised this is an age old thread...

Btw how do you deal with friendly fire in heartbreaker? For the few times I play HB with friends, whenever the archer got us by confusion shot, I could only run aimlessly or just hide in corner, too scared to attck as either myself or my teammates will lose health or even die(one time I managed to kill myself by using throwing blades)... I guess killing the archers before they use the shot is the best way to go, but what should we do when they do get us?There is friendly fire in SP, and if you want friendly fire on MP, then you need to play heartbreaker and fight red templars.

Nothing to do. Just wait when FF disappear somewhere under cover. It's easiest way. Your friend must do same thing- nothing under cover.

Well... I usually take this opportunity to troll my friends if I can do so without getting myself killed. Because that's trolling blow + tea bagging experience all at once! Seriously, I was expecting some xp figures to float up when I did it...
A more genuine approach for me is to leave my teammates and kill an isolated target away from the front line.
To be fair the archer's leap shot is much more of a problem for me, particularly when several RT knights are zapping you at the same time.

We wanted to complete a heartbreaker game. Intentionally trolling would probably result in a wipe (though I have to admit FF is a great way to troll!)

Leaping shot from a team mate works pretty well

If all players enable friendly fire in options, does this result in FF damage? I assumed that was how the PVP video was made, but perhaps I was wrong...

Nope. Are you referring to the clip Pronto posted were he got wrecked by the Katari?
I wonder what it would be like using Saarebas's Athlok Burst with friendly fire in heartbreaker. Could you suck in your teammates then frozen and shatter them?
I would assume so. Pronto (Saarebas) and I (Archer) were running some Heartbreaker the other day and it just devolved into PVP after we met some archers. He kept trying to get me with the Athlok Burst, but I put him to sleep every time before he could get me with it (because I'm better at PVP
)
Protip: Don't use Caltrops or Spike Trap while confused.

Protip: Dragon Rage at your teammates' face while they are busy T-bagging

Pronto, I think you should try Necro next time round. I would love to see if you could cast Spirit mark or Walking bomb on your team mates.
Giggling at the thought of T-bagging a pile of red... bits. ![]()
And if you can turn your team mates into ghosts, that would be utterly hilarious and ghost form counts as 2 death (well from Simulacrum any way).
If those 2 ability doesn't allow for FF, then maybe some genius could do some, tweaks around it ![]()
This is going to be the ultimate trolling experience in DAIMP ![]()
Edit: too bad those 2 don't allow for FF. Just tested this on SP.
