money is on Cass or the unknown, now that Solas is straight and race gated to just elves I don't see either Cullen or Sera being race gated as I don't see them race gating both elves and two female options 

 

Do we know for a fact that when they say race gated they mean all races that aren't X race? Okay so Solas will only do the nasty with a female elf? when they said race gated options, i immediately assumed 1 or 2 races will not be able to race romance X companion, assuming the appropriate gender was also selected, yet if it's true that race gated means, only 1 race will turn this companion on then.. wow, im totally stumped.

The only way Cassandra is getting race-gated is if Vivienne is a LI with no race-restriction which is unlikely. If I had the dwindle things down logically, I'd say Cullen were a race-gate and Blackwall none.

This would make sense, but who knows. Maybe the joke will be that Dorian will be race-gated.

Allan just confirmed Gaider's tweet about the 2 race gates was just him denying that he never confirmed or denied that the last 2 romance options were the race gates.

just cause Solas is double restricted doesn't mean the 2nd race gate will match him

I don't imagine that both race gates will be straight male LI's.

If the last race gated character is among the known LIs, then my money is on Cassandra.  Human and dwarf only is my guess.  Maybe just humans though...

Yeah thanks to Allan's post I think its the last one to be revealed now, though if its any of the confirmed ones I see it being Cass or Dorian since I don't see them gating both elf companions or two female only options

Well, Cullen and Solas both being racegated straight males can be added up to being an un-racegated love interest in terms of diversity. 

 

But yeah, I think it may be Vivienne who is Human-only. If Blackwall is the last LI, I can't really guess who would be unavailable to him.

Two race gated straight males?  I don't know about that...  Vivienne is my best guess, but this rumor about the final race gated LI being among those previously known has me thinking it must be Cassandra.  Although... I think Sera might be race gated if Vivienne is a lesbian or bisexual... wait... I'm confusing myself.

 

Basically, I don't see the final race gate being gay, straight male, or lesbian.  Vivienne makes sense as far as her story, but Sera could also make sense for similar reasons.  The only way that Sera is race gated, however, is if Vivienne is open to women.

 

And just so the Cass theory isn't totally unsupported, there may be some aspect of her romance that's related to the Nevarran royal family.  It could be left over from when the PC was human only, and therefore it would be another Anora situation, where non-humans simply are not eligible.  It could happen.

I am going to take a guess and say that the final unannounced LI is going to be a woman, since Bioware kept the numbers of each gender of LI even in both Origins and the base list of DA2. I am further going to guess that she is a straight woman, since in DA:O and the base LI list of DA2 they kept the proportions of straight to bi of each gender even and I think they're probably going to do the same here (though obviously adjusted for the presence of Dorian and Sera) so that the players who want to play men and date men won't feel slighted by having more lesbian options open than gay ones. I am going to further guess that it's Vivienne, for little reason other than Indira Varma's unreasonably hot voice and my own wishful thinking.

 

As to who else is racegated, I could not tell you.

Touche.  I figured it could be something off-screen like with Sebastian and Anora, but you bring up a good point... I take it this was mentioned in the recent LI marriage thread?  In any case, it's just speculation on my part.  I was wrong about Solas so I could easily be wrong about Cass, or even Vivienne...

Yeah, that tweet was brought up in the marriage thread. And since DAI continues after the main quest is finished, there is no real off-screen epilogue to have it happen like in previous games.

I doubt another straight guy would be race-gated now that Solas is. In that case there would be just 1 LI for some straight females unless Cullen is race-gated against elves.

I don't think two female only options will be gated as I have said before I think it will either be a male only romance or the last LI to be announced

Cullen- Females Only

Sera- Females Only

Josephine- Bi

Solas- Female Elves Only

Vivienne- Bi- Humans Only
