If you keep him alive throughout origins, would you see him in Inquisition while travelling through Orlais?

Several reasons to keep him alive, some more popular than others:

1. he is literally a champion who will prove useful.

2. shattering his world view and subjugating him seems more satisfying than killing him.

3. with Alistair on the throne and out of party, who else is going to...ahem...plunge into Korcari wilds and keep a female warden alive?

Would be kinda cool for one of my world states, but Alistair is always killed in my gameplays if Loghain lives..... He is being a pissy little git about the whole ordeal! Why would I want him on the throne??

I've conscripted Loghain into the Wardens in several playthroughs, but don't really expect him to show up again in Inquisition. He would have to be in his sixties to seventies, carrying Blight-era taint (when it hits Wardens the worst) for over a decade now - it's not far-fetched to presume him dead either way at this point.

I mean, I'd like to see him, sure. Just not holding my breath.

What about the Warden Commander?

Depends on what your Warden did, I suppose. Some of my Warden-Commanders were young when they joined, or made questionable deals with shady people like Avernus or the Architect for ways to cheat the taint a few years longer, etc. I'd expect those kinds of Wardens to live quite a while still. Whatever it takes, huh, Duncan.

Others might've been older, or played it safer and never shook hands with danger. I'd expect those ones to be watching themeselves closely these days for signs that the corruption is taking its toll and their Callings are approaching, if they haven't even gone over already. If we only see our Wardens in the Fade in DA:I, either headcanon would be equally plausible.

I don't know if I'd want him to show up, but maybe Blackwall could mention him.

Actually an old veteran Grey Warden who is just about ready to take their 'Calling' would be an interesting take on Loghain if he were to appear in Inquisition (in world states that had him survive).  It could prove to be quite compelling.

lol I didn't say it wouldn't be compelling. Of course it would be. I said I'm not counting on it. Low expectations, less room for disappointment.

I do think it's been confirmed that if he survives the Landsmeet and the archdemon, he will appear in some capacity in DAI.  Fair enough.

...let's just say the second word in "Korcari wilds" is a common noun for a reason.
