Hi

I just read this article http://www.pcgamer.c...fine-fantasy/2/ about DA:I and Im curious about words about game ending.  The end isn’t the end, and in a different way, that’s one of the most exciting things for me about Inquisition. Also somewhere on forum I saw info, that after end of game You can still stay in DA:I world. And I have question to You. Why would You stay there ( im thinking about single player game of course). I can't see any good reason to continue my game with my PC, after I will finish quests and main  mission in DA:I. As I understand there's no NG+, so I will not need to stay there to collect more XP/gold/craft materials etc. for my next playthrought.OK I can do one ride around world to see impact of my decision on a game world but that's all. I'm playing Skyrim right now, and my PC travel a lot across the world, collecting herbs, materials, hunting, building homes etc, but it's becouse I don't  even touch a main quest, and I know, that when I will finish it I will not stay there. Of course I can keep my save game for new DLC stories, but that's all. What do You think, why would You want to continue game after the end?

Of course, as I have with all my skyrim characters. They've stated hidden dungeons exist, areas that change depending on the removal of animals/enemies. I'll give it a go after the main quest. Actually curious as to what the urgency for the main story will be. Can we dawdle?

Exploring places you never did, while main questing or possibly exerting more Inquisition dominance.

To cleanse Thedas in the name of Andraste. Kill all the heathens!

I vaguely recall one of the Devs saying something about certain dragons really being meant as after completion content.

Either way, finding hidden goodies and continuing to build your character are probably the only solid reasons.  I have enough playthroughs in my head that I probably won't stick around the game too much, opting to restart with a new character.  It'd be interesting to see how the NPCs react and discuss the events that took place.

After you've saved the world, it basically legitimizes you taking it over.

I mean, they owe it to you, right?

Well, in my particular playing style I never would stay after the main quest simply because I would do everything there is to do before tackling the final 'mission'.   In most games, the 'main' quests are the only ones that advance the storyline.    Therefore, I typically do all sidequests and such that are possible before moving on to the next main quest.

There's still Fennecs to slaughter.

For fun, mostly. Exploration too.

I'm sure there will be some cave or corner of a location you may have missed in the playthrough.

Also, we may see dynamically generated wildlife and even enemies to battle.

It also keeps the game in an open state to introduce DLC content later on.

I am very pleased that I won't be stuck indoors once the main campaign is done. Good move, Bioware!

You can still move your character about through the world?  That's huge for me.  I hated having my character in DAO all locked up in camp.

You also don't have to completion everything before the end of the storyline, I'm guessing.

Sure exploring, fighting, looting, and crafting will be worth doing after the game is done.  But I'm primarily interested in how much the quest dialogue will change if you choose to wait until after you "beat the game" to start/complete those quests.

The quest dialogue had better change in those instances, or I'll be highly disappointed...

Exploration, locate side-quests you missed, find hidden lore. Plenty to do :)

I think it's kinda like skyrim, where you can continue to RP after the main story quest is done, keep exploring and such. The completionist clock from a dev is over 150 hours so there's lots to do. I almost get the impression that the game is almost in real time for events so screwing around to do a completion before the end battle isn't going to play in your favour, if anything, it will let the fade win.

My impression only though, from what I've read and heard in videos.

I was always disapointed in the other DAs or MEs that when you did the final battle, you'd reload just before the end campaign to do DLC only and nothing else. This is a nice change. I jsut hope we can go back to areas we completed missions in so we can do a thorough search after the main events. Warden's Keep really pissed me off when it was blocked off after exiting the building once the Demon Warden Commander was dead.

Here's to hoping we can use Fly Cam on PC and revisit locations conquered. /raises glass

I wouldn't. unless there is still something fun to do. mine fun factors are:

- combat (tactical one, i don't care for the number of abilities, just their combination and, man, i am spoiled by D:OS, i doubt DA:I will be more fun in that area. actually i even doubt it will be equally fun),

- humour (side quests with a twist, easter eggs, i hate generic go kill dragon and bring me the trasure ones)

- exploration (main DA:I selling point - especially if the new areas will become available due to environmental changes, moving dunes and whatnot... well at least for me; i didn't enjoy skyrim tho, exploration alone becomes boring after a while)

I had the same problem with Skyrim. Mostly because I took a walkabout across the entire land fairly early, just to admire the place. That bit was an excelent experience, though. But it lessened the game abit later when I started doing the quests.

I'm such a damned completionist, I doubt I'll have much reason to stick around rather than start a new game. Only thing that'd change that would be if the world actually responds properly to my badassery having saved it.

yeah, that too... the problem is that exploration in the terms of sight seeing and taking pictures works for me before i end the game. i tend to do that in the very begining, even before i pick up the very first quest. after the big bad is destroyed i'm kind of used to the view... and 30th cave (i hunted those for money/gear on low levels) with bandits doesn't have that certain appeal anymore ;)

I'll surely explore the lands once I hopefully complete the main story, Thedas is an amazing place and being able to explore dungeons, caves and hidden areas in Orlais or Ferelden excites me.

I'm kinda hoping there is some form of radiant quest structure after the game finishes to keep me entertained.

The DAI enviroments and all that looks stunning, though. The first playthrough will be one nice hiking trip.

Once you've finished the main game, the end-game content will give you something to do while waiting for the expansions/DLC.

I doubt I'll find any reason to stick around... I don't even like playing if I'm at the level cap, so once I've beaten the final boss, I think it'll be time to start over.  Assuming the game is good, I'll likely be on my third of fourth character by the time DLC starts popping up.  Unless I'm in the middle of a run when it's released, I'll probably restart the entire game to play the DLC... I don't see myself making use of this feature, but who knows.

Remember you have keeps you can control and you can make the dales for example a better place to live in by getting money into spending there resources etc:) unlike skyrim you ACTUALLY rule somthing that can ACTUALLY affect an area, for example bioware said that if you kill lots of bantits in one location it will affect it for the good of the civilians -) and exploration getting more info on lore etc :)
