In Mass Effect MP they were called Bronze, Silver, Gold and then Platinum was added later on.
What are the levels of difficulty going to be in Dragon Age?
I vouch for from easiest to hardest:
Moldy Scarf level of difficulty
Torn Trousers level of difficulty
Elfroot level of difficulty
Malachite level of difficulty
Certainly some clever naming conventions noted here.
I am sure you can appreciate the names chosen for each of the difficulties when we announce them. The team spends time poring over possibilities for naming the most routine of difficulties to the most perilous. The DAMP team will find ways to describe each one appropriately the more threatening it is to its predecessor.

Yes, in case you didn't catch it, we have announced the three difficulty levels. As mentioned above, Routine, Threatening, and Perilous. *snickers*

The "Random" difficulty is still there, right?
The host of a match chooses the difficulty. Random is not a choice except when searching for a match to join as a client.
