While that would add to immersion a great deal I doubt they'd do it. A few human/elf kids since there's little difference wouldn't be that surprising, but dwarf and qunari kids would be very surprising. As interesting as it would be to see a qunari kid.

It would be neat to see a Qunari pre/teenager, just to see how tall they are that age.

There were children in DAO (for instance, in the Dalish Camp) and DA2 (Emporium Urchin), don't see why there wouldn't be in DAI.
Not sure we'll see Dwarves of Qunari though. In previous games, I think there were only Human and Elven models.

we've never see a dwarf kid, that be cool to see, and same thing for qunari. i expect depending on the cities/locations we visit we might have opportunity to see some kids running around. i imagine there'd be some in fereldan with the blight over, at least in Denerim.

Well we've had a couple, but always fairly important ones, your nephew as a human Noble, Connor, but I would like to see little Dalish kids running around camp.

Though it is a bit superfluous, I tend to agree. It is one of those things which feels like attention to detail and fleshes out the world a little bit more. Though if Bioware were to make the populated areas more 'lived in' with whole families of npc's and such I would hope that it's a more naturalistic approach than Skyrim's odd take where you only see a handful of human children all the same age running around with little to no connection other npc's.
Like I say, not the most important details, but it would be a nice touch that could make areas populated by civilians feel more natural. Plus if you need to have various scenes in these areas that involve the npc's it would look better with a more varied set of npc's.

So will there be random NPC children running around in DAI? This is something about RPGs that has always bugged me. When there is am intire city (Kirkwall, Orzamar, Dalish camp in DA2 to name a few). That are intirely populated by only adults. It is a mater of immersion. Please have a few human, elf, dwarf, and maybe even a few Quinari kids running around please.
i hope so...

ps. actually i always kill that stupid Orlais Isolde so Connor would be raised to be a better ruler of the kingdom, i kill Logain with Anora and put Alister only to be a replacement for Connor, son of Eamon.

You could use that argument for any NPC or any other game resource to be fair. It all comes down to what a developer wishes to do and what they can budget in the end. For some the extra work pays off with a more realised world.

You're right. I didn't do a good job justifying myself. I agree that games have to invest into atmosphere. I just don't think children are worth the cost versus - for example - more unique body models for adults (e.g. characters who are over or underweight).

There were children in Kirkwall. You could find them in Lowtown and Darktown. One of the prostitutes at the Blooming Rose also had a child.
And of course, there was the Poor Urchin from the Black Emporium. DON'T MAAAAANHAAAAANDLE THE URCHIN! He's not for sale. FIND YOUR OWN!

I hope they look less creepy than they did in the last two games, if they're in.

I feel the opposite, to me having child npcs is more important than having adult npcs with a variety of bodies. Like I said before, no children makes the world feel dead, sterile, and creepy to me.

I dont think adding childeren will make DAI better.... waste of time and resources. They are better spend on other things.
