Reminds me of that kill children skyrim npc mod.
Is that dark?
Well it certainly makes 'hide & seek' a little more interesting.

I feel the opposite, to me having child npcs is more important than having adult npcs with a variety of bodies. Like I said before, no children makes the world feel dead, sterile, and creepy to me.
I honestly don't even notice when there are no children in a particular game.

I'm going to have to agree with that... after seeing children in some open-world games, the ones that lack them seem noticeably artificial. Children NPCs add to overall flavor of the game world and make the environment seem more realistic, even if we don't have much direct interaction with them. The ones in DA:O were not limited to standing around waiting to deliver a line of dialogue or two. They also took the form of quest givers and major characters, and I wouldn't want them to disappear from the series entirely... but after DA2, I'm not so sure they will be brought back...
I agree . It just make it even more real . In Morrowind they didn't have any at all . Until a lady made a mod that add them and it made the world seem less lonely . Also , even Baldur's Gate had them . And it was fun clicking on them and hear what they had to say . Heck even some made our companions react like Jaheira . Newest games ? Skyrim had them and it made the small first village you get into seem alive . They even added more then your usual stuff , a dog , chickens and barns animals and a horse + 2 kids running around and playing Tag . Another new game was Divinity , they went as far as even voice and give quest to some animals like a cat wanting to impress a female cat lol
It is not a waste of ressource . It should be there , just like if you bother to make a mountain very very High . Why ? think everyone will want to look at it ? You can't even climb it proprely , yet it is there for realism . And childrens goes in that same category .
Kids should be welcome. Only if i could stomp on them.
I hope they do have child npcs. It really makes a world feel dead when it's entirely populated by adults. It gives you the impression of a world gone sterile and dying out.
It was weird that the only children in Mass Effect were Star Star Binks and that adorable little kroglet in the ending slide
There were children in Kirkwall. You could find them in Lowtown and Darktown. One of the prostitutes at the Blooming Rose also had a child.
And of course, there was the Poor Urchin from the Black Emporium. DON'T MAAAAANHAAAAANDLE THE URCHIN! He's not for sale. FIND YOUR OWN!
That kid in the Blooming Rose was hysterical, you'd be talking to Madame Lusine and he'd suddenly run up in front of her and then just as quickly run away again but it seemed he was sliding along rather than actually running
Plenty of children in Origins, both human and elves. They give immersion and add variety when exploring a city, I see no reason why there wouldn't be children in Inquisition?
I'll be surprised if they don't do it. The world feels more authentic with a variety of NPCs.
I want fat people back first.
... with jiggle physics.
Hey! I want some kids in DA:I. So when I ride through town they will cheer and run on each side of me

Hey! Look! It's Ezio!
Only if you can kill them.

That's the face Arnie makes just before he eats you.

Let's compromise and have chubby kids? ![]()

Indeed - though I would like the option to be mean to them, too (if they want something - maybe give us a quest...yes, I will do the quest, but being bossed around by a kid? - No...I will do it on my terms
)

Please stop talking about killing children because video game or not that's extremely disgusting.
Anyway, I think they could include a child in DAI considering they did in ME3...
I didn't even notice until I saw that kid and was like "woah this is the first kid I've ever seen in Mass Effect"

Won't someone please think of the fictional children!
It's not like we didn't have the option of killing children in previous DA games
My one issue with this is that games that do this (Skyrim) the children are horrifyingly annoying and I invariably want to kill every one of the little shits which makes me feel a dick.
Maybe if they were well implemented (the kids in Bioshock Infinite were well done and never felt too annoying), but the DA series' kids that we have seen have almost always been annoying, so I don't have high hopes.
Kids in Fallout 2 picked your pocket every time you walked past them. That was the only time I was tempted to kill kids in a game, since you couldn't stop them and they were right next to doorways.
But I want kids in DA:I, with childlike voices.
