A Fans Response to Todays Attack

First things first Mass Effect 2 is still going to be a fantastic game. Fantastic is an understatement. Mass Effect 2 is going to be one of if not the best RPG's ever made. Regardless of what was spoiled for people today, nothing can change that fact. So don't give the ignorant bastard who decided to take time out of his pitty life to make others unhappy the statisfaction of not enjoying Mass Effect 2.
Secondly, as much as I love the wonderful people at Bioware I think we deserve some kind of apology for this. What went on went on for far too long, and got way out of hand before something was done about it. When we come to this social site we expect it to be a safe, nonthreatening enviroment for people to inteligently discuss the games Bioware makes. It is BIowares responsibility to keep it so. I don't know about anyone else, but I didn't feel like this was a safe enviorment today. So, while I acknowledge that Bioware is as much a victim in this as everyone else, I still would appreciate some form of apology.
Finally, I saw something in a few threads about doing acual harm to the person responsible for todays attack. Not cool. As much as I hate the ****** it is never acceptable to do or even talk about some of the things I've seen people talking about. Spam his myspace, delete his Facebook, ruin his Amazon book sales for christ sake, but end it there. We are all mature people here (OK...mostly mature *fart noise* ) so lets act like it.
Thats all I have to say. Have a great day.

As much as I would like to believe that, you're wrong. At least some of the spoilers are true, particularly the one about the collectors. Don't worry, I won't repeat any of them for those who managed to stay away but the person who did spoil the game proved they were legitimate spoilers because he proved he has a copy of the game.

Yes I saw some of the posts, the second I did, I stopped reading and shut off my browser. Got through unspoiled. Besides, I heard the alleged spoilers were fake.

Seriously though. Regardless, it was a very rude and uncool thing that happened.
Edit: Also, I would like to thank Chirstina and anyone else at Bioware who helped to clean the mess up. I don't think I did that in my original post.

Let's not confirm what is true and not.

Bioware owes us an apology for what happened. This website was flooded with spoilers for hours before any response was taken.

And I have to agree about the way were reacting to the guys behind it all. That was a bit overboard.

Oh and no apology is needed, you new the risk, the spoilers would happen if the devs were online, want it to be unspoiled leave.

Actually, I said very much a lot was untrue.
Really, people should just let it die.

We've waited so long for this game to come out and this happens the weekend before release. Not only is it a good possibility that a major plotline has been spoiled, it was spammed in such a way that there was no way to avoid seeing it.
If someone had been on duty when this happened, then this could have been prevented and stamped out immediately. Instead it was allowed to continue unabated for an unacceptable period of time.
I would say that the moderators have really let down some of Bioware's biggest fans with this fiasco.
I not only think we should be given an apology, but that heads should roll.
