I just discovered that if you log into DA:O at least on PC so the game has your account, it uploads a character profile to BSN which has your entire storyline mapped out!

It's a bit tricky to find, but if you navigate to your profile from http://social.bioware.com/ and click your username in the top right corner.

Then under your old profile pic click my games, DA:O and then find your character!

If that helps some people like it helps me, glad I could help :)

Really cool feature I didn't really know about before!

I assume we can use these records to reference for DA KEEP

This is your second topic about this.

But anyway, you can do it from the forum if you link your DA:O,DA2 and/or ME3 to this account.

Also,I wouldn't get my hopes too high about it. So far,the only "decisions" that seem to appear in these records are the Codex Entries,Equipment and level of your characters.

Sorry didn't know which one to put it on, but I remember people being really worried not being able to remember their saves, it's a cool feature people need to know about for Keep I think :)

For some reason, BSN stopped keeping my character info up to date. The last time it synced was June 6, and before that it last synced in like December 2013. It's especially weird since I've been playing pretty regularly all through that time, and I'm always signed in to the server when I'm playing, so there's no reason it shouldn't sync up. It's funny because it's showing my latest Warden as level 13, but I finished the game a couple weeks later at 23 I think.

Yeah the BSN stopped updating DAO profiles years ago. For a lot of players (me :() it never even uploaded a single one. It only ever recorded achievements for me, none of my Wardens or screencaps ever showed up on the site.

For those lucky enough to have their profiles never bug out, it's worth a shot, though.

I finished a Origins/Awakening play through a few months ago and it updated my characters OK. I did have to delete a bunch of files though before it did as I was on the 50 maximum.

50 characters? Or 50 saves? Because if it's saves, then that might explain my issue. I only have 11 characters though.

No it's files. I have 8 characters (4 really but Awakening counts as a new one) and if you look on the profile diagnostic page it has a little "On-Line Storage Summary". Each character seems to have 4 files and before I had a few other characters from Witch Hunt, Gollums, Leliana's song, once I deleted them it freed up some space, went back into my save, loaded, saved again and my last character updated.

I think screenshots count as a file as well.

Thank you! I'll mess around with this later.

Going to be pretty useful with the new reveal from the keep team.

Looks like mine are bugged? There's 3 wardens not even showing up and in DAII it's only showing the one play-through I ended up quitting instead of the two I did full ones on (including all the DLC). Hope the keep isn't entirely reliant on that because now I'm stressing out a bit o.o

Every character of mine has error 1004! Maybe because they are all are from the 360?

I can't even get the old website to work for me. I can log in but every time I go to a new page it logs me back out. So this is probably a no-go for me unfortunately. :(

What if... I'm just trying to figure out which Warden I have tied to which Hawke?

Mine is buggy sadly. Half the characters are missing and the ones that are there are all level 1-4

For those that haven't seen it; Varric/Brian Bloom does a story mode where he tells the Warden's story through Origins and Awakening (as well as Hawke in 2) and recounts all the choices in the games. You can change your choices on the fly as he tells it, so even if you're unable to import an old character you'll get a full recap and can change it to suit. You're more likely to overlook decisions and events in the games than you are miss them in the Keep.

It only syncs when you log in and visit your Origins online player profile via the game, it stopped auto-syncing to BSN accounts years ago.

Interesting, I don't remember ever doing this, but I guess I have?

Mine are all X-Box 360 imports.  Two of my Wardens aren't even there.  The ones that are there are low level characters I deleted from my X-Box. (I don't remember playing half of them and the 360 had a character limit.)  My main Warden that imported into DA2 isn't even showing up.  And the Warden I just beat the game with  a couple days isn't on there either.  Seems a bit silly to invest so much in the import into the Keep when half our Wardens won't even show up.

It did update a recent achievement I unlocked in my last playthrough.

Don't know what to make of all this.  If the Keep works through Varric's story, but there's no import to tell the story...then how does it work?

Do we just create it from scratch as what I thought we were doing to begin with? More questions than answers.

To be honest I'd rather start from scratch and just input the choices my warden made, since I won't trust the import to do it right and I'll have to double check all the imported decisions anyway, lol.

Still, for those who aren't looking forward to spending hours on the Keep devising a hand-crafted World State this is a huge time saver.

Huh. I never even knew the character pages had this 'Story' section. Cool!

I am thinking the synced data is going to load out setting in and we can just edit them how we see fit?
