I had idea about this, so I wanted to make this an topic.

this is place for everyone to discuss about a DAMP event of their own or for everyone to join in!

so how about this, we can have a DAMP launch event day party with our BioWare devs and players if they'd like to host for fun gaming together. players or BioWare devs can invite for such special occasions.

I had actually been thinking about something similar.  I'm kinda hoping that we get an MP demo before launch so if we do that would be a great time to do things because I believe many of us are going to be busy for at the very first week or so after launch with the single player campaign.

 

Just a general get together near launch would be good.  Maybe something along the nature of the Krogan Gold Challenge for laughs.  Maybe if the customization is deep enough we could form the Pinkquisition as so many have joked about.  Many things of course depend upon learning more about MP.

 

Maybe in the meantime we could do some sort of ME3 meet and greet since it seems like many of us have that game as well,

Well, my first few hours are definitely going to be taken up by the single-player on the first day, but I definitely plan to jump on the multiplayer as well. So if there's any sort of "let's experience this together" thing going on that first day on PS4, I'll definitely join in after I get my taste of the main game.

 

I'd also be up for some ME3 multiplayer in the meantime, as Maugrim suggested. Although it should be known that I'm not too amazing at that and I generally don't play on the highest difficulty setting, I tend to stick to Silver and some Gold and I'm usually last place, and it's been about a year since I last played it, but since it's not competitive that should be fine! I play on PS3 for ME3, so if anyone else does as well, let me know.

I'm thinking an informal meet and play this Saturday for some ME3 MP.  I can start around 12pm Pacific time and be on pretty much for the next 12 hours.  Now we can nail down a more specific time for others to come or whoever is on could just message me and say "Sup let's game."

I'll likely be available for a similar timeframe on Saturday (on and off as I'll have things to take care of around the house during the day).

To warn everyone, I'm gonna wanna spend a LOT of time with the single player first. So, I may not fire up the DAMP portion until a week or two into the game's release.

 

Only thing that would affect that would be challenges. If there's a big community challenge BioWare puts out that first weekend or whatnot, then yeah, I'll pop on early. I don't plan to miss any challenges if I can help it. Just please no one talk about any SP spoilers.

 

Also, if and as needed, I do have a game capture card for recording and uploading gameplay to YouTube. I don't have the ability to record mic chatter, but I can record the gameplay and game sounds/music (and can record and add a narrative voiceover later, although I haven't poked around with that setting yet). I also have the ability to livestream through it, but I haven't tried that out either (nor set up a Twitch account). I've only used it on my PS3 for recording ME3MP so far, but just downloaded an update to my Elgato software for PS4. I'll probably spend some SP time mucking around with the recorder to make sure I've got the hang of it on the new system. After that's done, I can be available to record challenges or whatnot.

Sounds good. As an FYI, I am celebrating my daughters 8 year old Birthday by means of a Frozen Party at my house. Incoming young ladies and signing should start around 3 PM Eastern...So, have fun!

 

As far as DAMP goes, I am very likely to fire up MP first. Don't get me wrong, the SP game is what brought me to Bioware in the first place, all those years ago. However, I had a blast with MP with ME3, and I just can't wait get into direct combat DAI style.

 

I will close out with this observation. When I played MEMP for awhile and then went back to the main game and tried a new game +, I murderated the enemy. MEMP made me a better player of the game. I am thinking some time with DAMP will elicit the same affect.

I am thinking of tackling the MP first to get used to the system and stuff ^^ ME3MP improved my skills greatly as well insanity runs felt like a breeze compared the Collectors Gold runs which froze PS3s and kicked people out as well XD. We could do a launch day MP party or something just a few matched before starting the story ^^ (I'll be playing on PS4).
