Did the Keep's survival depend on whether you spared the Architect or not?     I spared him, defended Amaranthine and my fully upgraded Keep also survived.   The end slides definitely said that after many days it was the army of darkspawn that broke, not the Keep, even though many people died in its defence.

No, you choose whether to save the Keep or Amaranthine, then make the choice to spare the Architect. The Architect has no bearing. Even the best ending for the Keep when you choose to save Amaranthine says that they got hit really hard and was rebuilt within five years from donations.

You can save both but you only get t he achievement for the one you chose. The keep will still stand but you wont  get  the achievement for saving it.

So the keep looks incredible and it seems like a lot of thought and hardwork went into developing this. However I am a bit confused on one part which is the uploading of your heroes from the previous games. Is this only available if your characters were synched up through DA games played through Origins? I've always played DAO through steam so it seems like that won't work unless I am misunderstanding this?

It's synced to your BioWare/EA account. Log in to social.bioware.com and click on your username in the upper right hand corner, then click on the games tab, then click on Dragon Age. You'll see your characters that have been synced up.

From what I gathered, to synch up your characters that way they need to have been recorded by your Origin account.

I also noticed that Power of Blood is a specific choice. Now I'm curious if there's going to be some sort of consequence for drinking Avernu's Alchemical Concoction.

I just realised that I have no character saved on my account for either game but I do have all my acchievements does this mean I'll have to choose my previous race/class/gender but my choices will still be there?

I'm going to spend so much time in that. Major kudos to the art team and designers of the Keep. Give these fellows a raise, they earned it.

Most interesting news we've gotten so far! But, I'm not sure about this whole uploading your character thing. How does it work?

I don't know having a massive keep that houses the wardens in Ferelden is pretty important. The Keep would be long since repaired if you had upgraded it come DA:I so I do believe it matters.

I don't believe it matters. The Wardens always control Amaranthine and that region. Bioware might never have is visit the area.

So does this mean your Hawke's(and potentially your Warden's) appearance in Inquisition is taken directly from your uploaded heroes on your Origin account?
Kinda dissappointed if that's the case because i'd like to recreate them in the new character creator.

Any idea how much it is linked to the Origin account?

I mean, will I be able to access the Keep without having Inquisition registered with my Origin account?

Going for a retail means I won't register DA:I with my account until it... well, arrives.

The Keep will open to public before Inquisition launches. You'll just need your Origin login to use it.

Looks nice and all but what they could change is that the voice of varriv could at least name the origins of the DAO warden so that it really begins there

The epilogue in Awakening says that the Fully Upgraded Keep holds out against the darkspawn. It says "The attacking force broke upon their walls." Nathaniel and Orgren survive if left there. Justice is decapitated. I think Anders and Velanna survive and Sigrun dies.

i hope we can still customize the look of our heroes(warden/hawke) in game in the appear in dai. Cause some uploaded heroes i dont like there looks anymore.

We only upload their avatars, not the actual character models. Inquisition won't be able to do anything with that.

Yes and no. There are two things I picked up from the video remember in the video the guy said they wanted to make it as easy as possible to use and also you have to consider there are those out there that have not played any prior games but they may still want to use the KEEP. Think of all the data it is recording/syncing like an automatic fill option that you get with your browser(s). Also I clearly remember a twitter post from one the head guys saying that they would of course give you the option to customize said character if they would be implementing said character.

Hey, just wanted to apologise for the bad audio quality in the latter half of the Keep video(s), we were having terrible technical difficulties throughout lol. Could you guys hear everything alright? If you have any questions you want me, or the devs to answer lemme know and I'll see if I/the devs can answer them!

Forgot to mention it clearly seems that they are not done working on the KEEP so there may still/probably be add-ons and changes in the future.

I'm slightly curious what would happen if say your Origin account doesn't have any Dragon Age 2 games on it (Like a friend of mine) or even no Origins game. Will it just give you the default Bioware favorite of the Dalish Warden who did the sacrifice and let you edit from there or will it laugh at you and kick you out.

No it should let you edit I would think. I like to think of the KEEP as super versions of the Mass Effect comics that you get from ME2 and ME3 if you didn't complete the prior games.
