No it should let you edit I would think. I like to think of the KEEP as super versions of the Mass Effect comics that you get from ME2 and ME3 if you didn't complete the prior games.

I would certainly hope so considering they are trying to be all friendly to new people. Still it's nice to hear considering all my Origins and 2 games were on console... And on a different account.

Well I just checked my own and all the characters are up from my PS3 and 360 accounts. The said thing is I don't think you will be able to use the automatic fill feature cross account wise. (Like being able to play on my PS3 and have my origin 360 info fill out) So in short I too hope that it is true that you will just be able to fully check mark things off and customize said heroes.

Yeah and honestly, I'd rather sit there and build all the worldstates personally rather than going through all of Origins and 2 again (I don't even own Witch Hunt or Legacy... Or Mark of the assassin now that I think about it). Personal tastes I suppose.

Yeah would suck if they didn't allow you to add those to the worldstate just because you never bought them. I mean there are hacks/mods for the main games themselves that automatically flag those choices even if you didn't get them.

What happens to the companions at Vigil's Keep matters

Definitely, considering the events of Legacy could be considered decently important to what is happening in the world (Maybe not involved with the Rift but hey, there's more than one issue in this world).

i am confused by one thing, i know that my ps3 account is reflected on my origin account and bioware profile.  that means i can do this on the web and not on ps3 right?  sorry, it's 630am and i am still at work so not the best cognitive state of mind.

I have to listen to the video again but it sounds like that the KEEP is an APP that will be released for everything. (At least that was what it sounded like from the way the guy was saying it) And I don't see why you couldn't do it online. I could change my banner for my ME3 accounts online for my consoles so I imagine you could.

Same here.

I expect we'll just have to input our choices manually.

The Keep is a website, not an app.  You should be able to use it on the PC without issue.

This will need to be done whether your heroes are present on the BSN or not. Having your heroes uploaded will allow you to select them in the Keep, but there is no direct importing of savegame plot data at this time. Choices will need to be set by either using the interactive movie, accepting the defaults, or selecting them yourself in the Tapestry.

I really love the entire concept, and it seems the execution is looking pretty great.

So what is imported?  Maybe I missed something somewhere, but what's the point of selecting your heroes from the BSN?  Makes it 5 seconds quicker by auto-selecting your race and gender?

Well, I'm personally curious if those arts at the keep are meant to work as hints, like wich outcome will clearly end badly, and wich will not, like in the witch hunt choice, Morrigan being stabbed show an picture of her with an bloody dagger in front of her, or if she goes alone the eluvian it's dark and craked, or if the warden follows her the eluvian is glowing. I think that will be interesting.

Can anyone provide transcription of that Q&A, please? Much easier to get info in text. Plus I can't hear the answers.

I'm not sure I understand what it means for them to be able to "select" them in the Keep. What do we get if we do that?

Selecting a hero in the Keep sets the race, class, and Origin of your Hawke/Warden. Having your own custom heroes lets you also show the portrait, name, and other data specific to them.

Having a (e.g.) Mage or Male Dwarf Noble may allow some specific tiles to be chosen in the Keep without causing a conflict, but it would not matter for importing purposes whether it was a custom hero or a default one. One of the goals of the Keep is that you can import a world state you may not have played yourself in DA:O or DA2, so custom and default heroes are treated equally in that respect.

I have a question. Can we change the defuLt Warden and Hawke's names?

Ah, I see. Thank you so much! That sounds like a really nifty feature. I'm looking forward to seeing it comes together after release.

Does that mean that without importing, we are limited to a default name, for example?

I don't think you should read too much into it. Getting stabbed is obviously bad for Morrigan (and the picture really only shows that, her getting stabbed), while following her is a good thing for the Warden - he wouldn't do that otherwise. What I'm saying is that the pictures hardly suggest anything about the consequences in Inquisition.

Cool.

But how do we create our heroes if they are not in the BSN?

It depends what you mean with create your heroes. If it is about creating their world state this is likely done by creating a new world state and selecting your choice through the Tapestry or the interactive movie.

If you want to recreate the appearance of your previous player characters/heroes this likely done in DAI and not the Keep. In order for appearance customization to even work through the keep the appearance of your heroes either the customization in the Keep needs to be as close as possible to the graphics used in the game itself or they would need to somehow make appearance customization made in the Frostbite engine available through the Keep website but it is likely this is a huge resource hog for too many. Remember the website also needs to work on tablets and possibly smart phones. So it is more likely that we will get to recreate the appearance of our previous heroes in DAI itself.
