There aren't.
I'm okay with that.
Yeah, no sustained abilities and regenerating health are fine. Both of those changes made sense and were things people had complained about/discussed about removing in the previous games.
But I don't remember anyone ever complaining about the number of abilities or suggesting that we should be limited to fewer than ten at a time.
I just can't understand why they made this absolutely awful decision.
And that's why I responded to you.
"Because I've played THESE games over here, I can TOTALLY TELL that THIS game is going to be terrible."
I've played TOR. Therefore, because it's another BioWare RPG, I can fully expect to see lightsabers in DA:I.
See this is you not reading posts again. I said the game will undoubtedly still be good (or even very good), this is still a poor decision.

You can rage while being respectful.

Cheerful rage. ![]()
And the whole 'forgetting about all his/her moves except for 8' charade continues, I forgot how realistic shooting fireballs from your fingers using a fictional resource called mana that's powered through a fictional stone called lyrium is.
But why can't we really talk to our companions? Why does our character for some reason only know how to say around 3-4 specific sentences in response to things?

That might not have been your intent.
But when you throw out "I've been playing since..."
What you're saying is "I'm better than these console peasants. My opinion should matter more."
Please, provide us with more strawman arguments.
Now I'm wondering, are the companions still limited to eight when we're not controlling them? Because if they are limited even as NPC's, tactic building just got ten times more annoying.
Oh ****... you're right

Factually false. What I'm saying is exactly what I am saying. If you read something I didn't say that is 100% your burden.

There is a difference between negative feedback that actually is constructive, and....
"BioWare just keeps sucking EA's ****! PREORDER CANCELLED!"
Guess which one this thread has had more of.
Right. I mean, we obviously don't know the full details of everything - we haven't seen the details of the missions before going out or gotten to see how we get information about it, etc.
But the Devs have said you can disengage from combat, so I don't see why we can't get the hell outta there and regroup/change abilities.
Ooh, I forgot about disengage. Now I'm REALLY excited. I'm envisioning tons of terrified running away now. "BETTER PART OF VALOR!! BETTER PART OF VALOR!"

If people can't distinguish between rage/insults and negative feedback, then no I don't particularly think they have a right to post.
Disagree all you like but I see no reason to do it disrespectfully.

None of that is involved in stabbing someone a particular way, of which the limitation also applies. There's no real justification from the internal logic that the game follows, like there would be if it was, say, a Vancian casting system.
Though Exile is also right I suppose, the limitation would be stupid from a gameplay POV even if there was justification.

This really is a magical experience.

Then do what literally every other person is doing.
Post your opinion without sticking your nerdcred in everybody's face because it makes you feel superior.

Why do I have to be the Inquisitor? What if I just want to tell Cassandra 'No' from the start and finish the game there?
Giving negative feedback is one thing, exaggerating another thing
It's not for you to decide what is exaggeration
This is not romance, not some minor detail or little mention of a previous game quest or NPC
This is an essential part of the game which we will be facing from the very beginning till the very end
Yes, Bioware's games are about stories
But they're still about gameplay, battles as well
There is no exaggeration happening here. Just a lot of frustrated people who feel like the developers waited till now to reveal this little mistake since they knew there would be a real backslash. And they're right, there is. For a good reason

Games are not crowd-sourced. Devs are allowed to use their own opinion to make changes if they think it will improve the game. Whether it works not something we'll know until the game comes out.
So you admit we don't know jack about the game from videos but somehow you know how the 8 ability limit will play out.
I know that once I pass 8 abilities on one of my classes, I'll be forced to "survive the battle" with the 8 abilities I got on hand or just reload, switch abilities up and try again. That to me, seems to be the most obvious outcome, and I don't need to play the game to derive it.
Ooh, I forgot about disengage. Now I'm REALLY excited. I'm envisioning tons of terrified running away now. "BETTER PART OF VALOR!! BETTER PART OF VALOR!"
I'm out of likes already, but you deserve one. Fo sho.
Why do I have to be the Inquisitor? What if I just want to tell Cassandra 'No' from the start and finish the game there?
Not enough likes!!!
I have made this same complaint with many games I have played. For example I tried out Everquest 2 and I actually got annoyed with getting more and more abilities at some point because it didn't change anything to the rotation. And still you have 32 abilities across your whole party you have access to, so I don't see how that is little. Which game other than DA has ever giving you access to what amounts to over a 100 abilities per player (controlling the whole party)?
That logic would only make sense if you could, say have Varric use fewer abilities so your mage could use more. That isn't how it works, of course. Each companion has access to 8 of his or her abilities period. not 32..
Or you could use your website that you have, to give the details about this instead of a hiding it for as long as possible and then when called out on it give a misdirecting tweet and then complain that you did not have enough space to give proper details.
Just as a note, hiding it for as long as possible would be hiding it until November 17 (or not sharing it at all). Which would definitely be inappropriate.
I don't mean to come across as complaining, though. I'm stating that it was broken into two tweets because that's the medium.
Ooh, I forgot about disengage. Now I'm REALLY excited. I'm envisioning tons of terrified running away now. "BETTER PART OF VALOR!! BETTER PART OF VALOR!"
"But sir, do you really want to retreat? They're just skeletons..."
"Uh... yes. I think I left the oven on back in camp. And the hair curler. And the water running."
"... The **** is a 'hair curler'?"
Why do I have to be the Inquisitor? What if I just want to tell Cassandra 'No' from the start and finish the game there?
Way back when, games used to have Bad Ends if you did things like this.

If you feel that getting angry at the developers is "disrespectful" then I guess you have splendid time reading and making reviews :3 "10 out of 10!", otherwise it's just rude, isn't it?
