I'm making NO headcanon on the subject until I know what was in the big ol' book that Morrigan left for me at the end of Witch Hunt!

Now that you brought the Morrigan's gift at the end of Witch Hunt up, I wonder myself.  What if it's about the location of surviving griffons.  I just read about griffon on DA wiki the other day, and wonder what if some of the rumors are true?  As a Grey Warden, bring back the beast that you ride into battle back from "extinction" is pretty important.

Or maybe I just want my warden to appear in DA:I on a griffon...(always love the conversation with Wynne about griffons)

Given how difficult it is to establish precisely what it is that our Wardens have been doing in the time up to the beginning of DA:I, I have just prepared myself for the fact that the Inquisitor will be exploring Arlathan, full of trepidation and excitement in being in such an ancient and wondrous place, and see the Warden (ie, your particular Warden, if he/she is alive) just sitting there, eating a wheel of cheese and totally ignoring the presence of the Inquisition, as if to say "Hey, I saved Ferelden, how about you finish the game first and then come back to see me, THEN you might be worth talking to!"

*More like Leliana draws bow and shoots you in the forehead*

She was willing to combat the PC over Andraste's ashes, she was willing to protect the revered mother in Lothering from the Warden, you think she wouldn't attempt to kill someone trying to bring down the institution that is the most important thing in her life?

My soon to be Reaver warrior Warden told Leliana to shut it and she did Wynne and the Guardian didn't heed that advice in that particular playthrough and ended up losing their heads as a result.

As for the lost Warden years this and Leliana owing the "Maker" aka huge 360 degree neck scar it just proves that Bioware didn't plan this storyline out so well.

Anders DA2 time paradox proves that point too.

Well, in their defense, there are a lot of different outcomes and possibilities for players. I'm sure it's hard to keep those in mind, and write a captivating and unique story.

I hope they dont pull a Revan with The Warden it will be stupid I hope there will be very good reasons for their dissapearance.

These are the ones I am iffy about Queen Couslands and King/Prince Consort Couslands people like that dont just disappear the only real acceptable reason for their vanishing is that they where captured or Warden napped by the big bad. Or if The Dark Ritual was done the King went with morrigan but that wont work for Queens.

To be honest?

Gaider never said, one theory was that he simply lied and kept up the use, that's the one i buy into.

Another is that Gaider indicated Lyrium can remain within the body for a set time period before the abilities fade away.

So he could have simply be running off of what the Chantry gave him, but given that he hadn't even taken final Vows yet and wasn't even an official templar, the Chantry wouldn't have given him any Lyrium, see where the confusion comes in?

So where exactly DID he get the lyrium for his abilities?

This reply is late as hell but... Alistair has Calenhad blood. That's canon at this point. It's an outlier and we don't know what powers and abilities he has because of it. Maybe he can retain his templar abilities longer than most. His super special mary sue of a mother was also a Warden elf mage that was cured from the taint so that might have some influence as well.

Well, Alistair could have the dozens upon dozens of Lyrium potions he had from my group.

Lyrium is like coal.

It's not exactly UNCOMMON in Thedas.
