I get the impression it will be MUCH harder to solo DAMP than it was to solo MEMP. DA (DAMP included) focues on cross-play combos, which cannot be done without another player (clearly). Aiming, chance to hit, defense, etc is all done by a virtual dice roll. The skill in DA is in the combos.

The only way I think you could solo this is to kite like a mofo. Even if they had the most badass build, that would end up getting 'balanced' to keep it in line with the other classes when it is used in a full party situation.

I would like it if difficulty was more... flexible. Like Borderlands' is. Depending on how many players are in the match, enemy health/damage is modified. (Except Raid bosses, which are always at full-party difficulty.)

obviously I have not ryme or reason to think/hope this and its probably not going to happen.....I did have the thought of some of the higher level runes such as a top tier frost rune having a chance to completely freeze enemies on hits (or attacks stack like cryo ammo)....I'm not saying every swing or something like that or even with enough frequency to base a build/playstyle on it, but just as an rare bonus and cool event.

not sure where I got that in my head from though.

I hope it is possible, but health regen does not seem to work the same. You would be healed between waves in ME3MP and you could also medigel to revive. Kiting seemed a lot more viable in ME3MP also. I am not so certain about this game being soloable.

I truelly hope I am wrong though.

I worked up to Gold and Platinum runs in ME3 MP after some time, and really liked it. Though I was not that great at Platinum's...

A lot of it will depend on how the mechanics and classes perform. We know the basics of the game, but really for me before I predict how it will be, I will want to master the game a bit and get familiar with the pace.

I am sure I will make my attempts.

Doing it solo is confirmed but will proven to be more difficult because of how the areas are going to be run unlike ME3 MP which was same area whole time.

another thing to remember when it comes to soloing.  I remember seeing Bioware confirming that unlike in ME3, in DA: I when you "promote" your class you given an attribute point. (does anyone else remember this?)  I'm sure they won't let you be a full on god character, but  you have to wonder...what is the max?  Just how many can you get?  Once you get a decent amount you will be a lot tougher than a you were at the start at level 20.

I don't think it will be as easy to solo the highest levels as ME3 was. With ME3 you could make up for an overwhelming disadvantage by kiting, dodging and using right hand advantage. I doubt those concepts or similar things will even exist and if they do will be viewed as an exploit. I'm guessing it will have a lower skill level and a higher tactical level which won't translate as well to soloing.
