In addition to the tintable chests package (available on Nexus or the New Vault), I also released a tintable coffins package (also available on Nexus or the New Vault).

Kamal_'s presentation being self-explanatory, I used the same:

From bottom to top: stock coffin, tinted version, tint map and the tinted version again (for testing animation purposes).

Same presentation (works also from left to right for the nine chests behind Adaur).

These look great, do they overwrite the stock items or exist as stand alone models?

I always keep the stock models, even when I add animations (for instance, the estate chest or the snake lever) or tint maps. They might however override other custom content items (basically, when I add a tint map, I append "_t" to the model name, and "_a" for an animation).

I will be using those chests.

Am I the only one who figured out how to delete adaur? Surely others must get sick of looking at that butthead after seven years

Meh, we know but don't care. It's the new mods that matter.

I deleted Adaur and most of the other stock characters near the beginning, because they were characters I didn't want to play as.

I created a test character called Aaron Aaronson, who now appears in all my screenshots taken from test areas run directly from the toolset. I think his impressive set of mutton chops must have scared the drow off. :)

Yes they're nice, and I definitely agree about the last one.  :)  Here's a few more decent-looking free models if you find them of interest:

I found the treasure chest too simple, and corrected the normal map of the sailor's chest:

Now available here or here.

Hello 4760,

Is there any chance you could make the 'Armoire {03}' container tintable? I find it to be a useful placeable, but the color isn't always ideal. (In fact the toolset needs more cabinets and wardrobes in general.) That will be most helpful. Thank you!

I have made it tintable in the cornucopia but its not an especially good job. I know more about what I am doing now and can give it a better shot if you'd like. What it really needs is a new texture. I would like to have a go at that too if 4760 does not get there first.

I would very much appreciate these, even if RJS does not.

That's a good point, there's probably content in there that I can already use. Thanks.

The ones that looks like they could be useful are: wardrobe02, wardrobe03, wardrobe05, and lockersma01.

iirc it's tintable in my arid placeables pack.

I would have, had I read this earlier. But I think it's already taken care of. Anyway, that reminds me of Kamal's tintable placeables addition, for which animated crates are missing. I'll probably work on this instead then.

During testing I discovered that the lid close sound is noticeably out of sync with the lid closing animation, particularly for plc_mc_chest07. I.e. the closing sound plays and finishes well before the lid finishes closing. I think this may prove immersion breaking. Does anybody know of a way I can fix this? The models are really nice, so I'd still like to use them.

I can think of two ways of achieving this: either make the lid closing faster, or play a longer sound (or a combination of both).
Let me see what I can do (on holidays at the moment, so will not be done before next week).
