Yeah, if you include all of mobile gaming. The big tipple A gaming titles are still around 80% male.

 

Is this actually the case?

 

I remember hearing (unfortunately the link escapes me, but I'll hunt for it) that the divide for the AAA titles is probably closer to 1/3 or so.

 

Which, if you're dealing with a game that sells say 6 million copies, is 2 million copies.

 

 

I think there's a large resistance to the idea that women are gamers and that's probably not going to change.

Oh, let me just make it clear that I am all in favor of having more women into the big gaming titles. But its around 70% to 80% for a lot of shooters. Other games vary. I'm was just stating that the article about most women being gamers is misleading since they are not the majority on the big titles.

 

I'm more just curious where you're actually getting the numbers from.

I continue not to read that as anything more than David Gaider saying he never verbalized it outright, rather than confirming, denying, or heavily hinting at an in-between.

 

That's exactly what David was saying.  There was no indication of which romance was race gated until Solas today.
