But yes, the idea that a large part of female gamers are only playing Candy Crush is very wrong. Older female gamer here with quite a few older female gamers on my PSN. We exist and its makes me all warm and fuzzy inside when we get acknowledged.

 

Sigh, thats not what I meant to imply. I'm am just saying the article was misleading since women have not suddenly become the majority of players of the blockbuster games. That does not mean that millions of women are not already playing those blockbuster games.

Not a story I'm anyway interested in though so to the backburner Solas goes. Maybe if we had a CE but as we don't *shrug* Sorry Solas but like Garrus you are not getting me to play a protagonist I have no interest in.

Genetic purity is a bit of a squicky reason for the preference. That said, if there's an actual opportunity to engage with this belief then it's an interesting choice.

Genetic purity is a bit of a squicky reason for the preference. That said, if there's an actual opportunity to engage with this belief then it's an interesting choice.

Its the sad truth of being an elf I'm afraid. Unless you are impregnated by another elf, your kid is not going to be an elf. You don't even get a true half-elf like you would in other stories, you just get a kid whose traits seem to be completely from their non-elf parents side.

Is this a personal preference thing involving romance or an actual "I'd forgive the viewpoint if they were the other gender" thing?

Right now it does seem like straight females are going to have the least amount of options. Only Solas, who is race-gated, and Iron Bull. Oh yeh Cullen but he's not a companion, which is what I mean.

 

Making Blackwall bisexual would fix this and also increase representation. Plus bearded men should be available to everyone

That's exactly what IRL racists believe about, say, the "white" race. This argument just amounts to saying that the racists at Stomfront would be totally in the right about preserving the purity of the race if it turned out race wasn't just a social construct.
