This kinda make me hope that Vivienne actually isn't romanceable and Blackwall is the other option, but I seriously doubt it. 

 

 

Gaider's tweet seems to say that both of the unrevealed LI's were not gated.  Since Solas is gated, then it would stand to reason that the other unrevealed LI (Vivienne or Blackwall) is not.  Yes, I know others read that tweet differently, but I just for the life of me cannot understand how it's interpreted otherwise.

 

Also, I'm not convinced that it's going to be one gated male and one gated female.  If there is a 5-3 unbalance in the LI's (with 5 males and 3 females), then I could easily see 3 ungated females, 3 ungated males, and 2 gated males.  Perhaps Solas is bisexual and either Cullen or Dorian is gated against elves.......?

 

Gaiders tweet didn't assert that they were or were not gated, that was the point of his tweet, he was making it clear that he had never said anything to either effect.

They cannot have the same content because they do not do quests with you or at least not all the quest, since Leliana and Cullen do some.

There for, no helping you and no banter with four people about some red templars pooping on the mountains. There are restrictions on the dialogues, whatever people like it or not NPCs are more bond to the HQ which is fine. Of course the romance with the PC could be on the same lvl but than again you can never have the same thing as Isabela and Merril talking about Hawke in your party. 

 

They can have the same amount of content because they have the same amount of writing time dedicated to their content. That you derive some level of extra enjoyment either from (i) controlling a character in battle or (ii) hearing banter while travelling is not related to how much resource is invested per character. The combat design is clearly separate from the writing.

I won't mind of Solas is restricted to Elves, but hopefully he's available as a female LI.

First time for everything. Plus makes sense. Already have gay male and Bi male And then capped off with Cullen and Solas as the two straight males.

They don't make decisions based on whether or not people will complain, otherwise they would have made Varric a romance, lol.

I remember voicing the belief that Solas would be straight and being vastly in the minority (if that's a pun, it's a bad one ), as everyone seemed to think that one or both of the unannounced LIs would be bi/gay.

 

I'm quite sure the last LI will be straight, too. I think Bioware probably feels that they're being inclusive enough as it is with all the companions/advisors that have been announced as bi/gay.

I got shot down pretty hard because I said I figured Solas would be elf only, because elfs have an easier time as dreamers..
