What do you mean? So what if Cullen is race gated? If Blackwall is straight, then I won't ever be able to romance him. I only play male characters.
It means that I only have two options this go around, Iron Bull and Dorian.
And if Cullen is race gated against dwarves or qunari then female dwarves and qunari only have one option.
I was thinking Kelly XD
But I get your point :3
Kelly never required you to make the first step in pursuing the romance.Jacob/Sebastion on the other hand required Hawke/Shepard to pretty much spell out that they want them.
Why should there be more gay options than straight? How often is there even a gay option if theres any rommance at all in games?
I'm not quivering in my boots, worried about there being more gay options than straight. We got Cassandra, and she's a least a 12 of the "Dayum she's hot!" scale.
Sebastian didn't even unlock the romance achievement.
Which makes him the one romance I only did once.

like always? In da 2 there was only Fenris and Anders
and hell in DA origins there was only Zevran
don't understand the matter we never had that many romances I'm still disappointed by the Solas reveal because
I don't like how some races are favoured (Female Elfs in this case)
Everyone should have equal options its a bit unfair
well hopefully Blackwall is bi and not racegated

oooh maybe he could be racegated against elves? I wouldn't mind that.
Just not against Qunari if he must be gated *crosses fingers*
Having equal numbers is not believable imo.
why?

Those scars look sexy,Cassandra is definitely going to be one of my main romances.
Of course not.
Games should give equal options for all people.
I suppose the problem then becomes devoting the resources for several gay romances when gays are a small fraction of an already small fraction that bother to complete the romances. Makes me wonder what the percentage of gay (male/female) players among Dragon Age players.
This is why I like DA 2, with everyone being BI. That gave everyone A LOT of options.
I do hope the last is Vivienne. I'd rivalmance her so good.

It's like saying just because 10% (estimate) people who play Dragon Age are black Bioware should focus their resources on mostly making white skin colors.

I'd pretty create a character specifically design to be as flippant with Vivienne as possible.![]()

He could have the hots for a female elf warden mage in origins, so it doesn't seem very likely.
I think the idea of equal representation is ruined if Blackwall is not a gay romance.
It'll be a cast just like in ME3.You have a lot of straight and bisexual people and just "that one guy/girl" who is gay.
(And even if it's so, there's more male than female romances, so I'm kind of dissapointed)
Of course not.

While I believe that giving different kinds of players options is important I will never understand the idea that games must give all possible demographics of players the exact same number of options.

Female elf warden wasn't dalish and the gates are for story reasons.

I'm pretty sure that they've said that the % of people who play s/s romances is higher than the predicted % of LGB players. So it's not like s/s romances are only for LGB people.
Double post.

As opposed to dragons, darkspawn, and blood magic? Yeah, that's total crap.
