By now we are down to Viviene and Blackwall, who will make the cut!?! It was confirmed that the last romance will be a companion.

 

Wow, it also seems the one of the race gated romances will either be Cullen, Dorian, or Cassandra. My reasoning is that

 

The two bi LI are Iron bull and Josephine. Both confirmed not race gated.

I think i can remember hearing that Sera won't be race gated. So i'll take Sera off the list.

Bioware also said the last two romances wouldn't both be race gated so that takes out Viv and/or Blackwall. (maybe?)

 

The only options left are Casandra, Dorian, & Cullen.

 

There are only two race gated romances and Solas is one of them.

 

I think Cassandra will be the other race gated romance, it just sorta makes since that she wouldn't romance any other races.. right? I just can't picture Dorian or the fan favorite Cullen being race gated? Either way i'll play a human if that's what it takes to romance Dorian or Cullen.

 

Maybe Bioware can jump in and confirm the last ones?

I hope Cullen isn't gated against qunari because I would like to romance a dude while playing a femquizzy taller than him (admittedly he may be the last person I romance so it will take me a while to get to him but still)

To be fair when Gaider said that he was stating that "He" never said that cause the tweet before that stated the last 2 were the race gates, thats not really a full confirmation that the last one isn't race gated he was just stating that he never said that. With Solas being female only and race gated I don't see Sera being race gated since I don't see them race gating both elves and two female options, so either the last one is the 2nd race gate after all or its one of the male only options

Actually, he said it's not even true (that the last two are the race-gated ones). He didn't outright say that one of the announced ones is race gated, but the implication was clear.

For my money, I think Blackwall is the last romance option (because Sheryl). Not even going to hazard a guess about sexuality. I have no idea who is the race-gated one, though I wouldn't lose sleep over any of them.

I'm fairly confident that Blackwall will be the final LI and Cullen will be race gated. 

 

I just seriously can't imagine Cassandra being race gated and Vivienne not. It would make so much more sense for Vivienne to be. And they wouldn't leave male qunari/elves/dwarves with just one non-companion option, which is what would happen if Cassandra is gated and Vivienne isn't an LI.

I'm not getting back into this since I read the tweet and the tweet before that, people are taking what he said to literally, Bioware isn't going to admit the truth to something they haven't fully announced yet, someone could of asked is Solas was race gated to just elves and straight and they would of denied it, and the Sherly tweet was proven to be nothing but them quoting something from a movie I believe so many didn't take that as a confirmation to anything

I doubt Dorian or Sera will be race gated, since they are the only fully homosexual romances in this game, and putting restrictions on them would be like messing with fire. And they said Iron Bull and Josephine are not race gated right? The logical conclusion then would be that Cassandra is the race gated one, right?

The only way Cassandra would end up gated is because Vivienne is also a straight female and not gated. As is, I am pretty certain that Vivienne is the other LI and race gated, and either Straight or Bi (I seriously doubt she'd be gay with female inquisitors currently having 5 romances to the male's 4), I'm still hoping for bi and not gated against Qunari though.

Blackwall comes off as the papa bear of the group, the father figure and the mentor so my picks are

 

 

Cassandra- Humans and Elves only? (Maybe dwarfs)(I am just guessing cause I don't sse a reason for her to be race gated)

 

Cullen- Humans and Elves Only (based on what we know)

 

Dorian- Humans, Elves and Dwarfs (against qunari cause of the war with Teveinter?)(i highly doubt this though)

 

Vivienne- Bi- Humans Only

I sorta hopefully want Viv to avoid all romance, it'll make her character seem more powerful and independent. Like she won't let anyone get in the way of her true secret goals and motives.

yep and it would also open the way for Blackwall (and him being bi)

 

Blackwall actually has better reasons for not wanting an relationship, such as being close to his calling and not wanting to enter a relationship only for it to end in heartbreak a couple of months later.

I am tired of all video game gay characters being mostly represented as sassy and/or slutty.

 

Blackwall seems like a "normal soldier guy", which many people unrightfully relate to "being straight".
