I'm hoping for a gay Blackwall.

 

I am tired of all video game gay characters being represented as sassy and slutty.

 

Blackwall seems like a "normal soldier guy", which many people unrightfully relate to "being straight".

so...Dorian is sassy and slutty? The games not even out yet

the only reason I don't see Cullen being race gaded is because of the female dwarf.  we know that Bull was not always supposed to be romancable everyone anyone at first. I would think that the main problem would be animation and that would typically be a size difference...meaning I think it was the dwarfs that were going to be out of that romance. If I am right about that and Cullen is race gaded then they originally made the game with the female dwarf having no romance at all.

I though it will have 8 romances , two being race restricted and 1 of those 8 romances is suppose to be not advisor and not a compagnion ether . So why people keep searching the last LI in the compagnion ?

At this point I have no idea who's race gated, as solas was the LAST person I expected to be a race gated straight romance, thought all the remaining ones were bi. They said it was for story reasons, and since they fixed bulls issues and Josie's been confirmed as bi and not gated the other ones that I can think of would be

Vivienne if she's a romance, she wants to be elite in Orlais and humans are really the only acceptable partner in orlesian society, maybe an elf as well but not a dwarf or qunari.

Cassandra as an andrastian she might refuse a dalish, but the others beliefs aren't specified so right now I would say not elves or qunari...although I have no real reason as to why qunari wouldn't be on the list just gut instinct there.

Cullen against everything not human because of his religion since elves can only be dalish this time around while Surana was a circle Mage, he called oghren a heathen on origins and maybe that view extends to all dwarves, and after what happened in Kirkwall he wouldn't want to be with a qunari (admittedly I'm reaching here with this one except the qunari part I think that could be likely)

I don't see any real reason why sera would be race gated, and if Blackwell is a LI then I don't know enough about him to make that judgement call.

That was a misconception.

 

The devs confirmed you can merely flirt with non companion/advisor characters.

 

The 8 romances are ALL companions and advisors.

Everyone would call Oghren a heathen LOL! I don't think Cullen has any real reasons to be race gated. Also Cullen left the Templars because he knows his religion has flaws, i doubt he'd hold it against people who didn't follow the chantry.

Yeah I admitted I was reaching there lol. Truthfully I don't really agree with most of them they are simply the only reasons I could think of, sera being the only one I couldn't come up with for a reason to be race gated. The only ones I really believe are likely are Cullen with qunari, Cassandra or Vivienne, but I'm having the opinion more and more that she isn't the last LI. Also just as an add on I hope I'm wrong with Cassandra most of all, but I feel she's the most likely as well and since I want to be a qunari this time I'd recommend everyone In a position similar to mine start planning a backup just in case (mines Josie)

straight females would have 5 options in opossition to 2 gay male ones.

Blackwall- I don't see this, he comes off as the papa bear/father figure/mentor of the group

 

Cullen- I originally thought Cullen was going to be race gated but now that Solas is race gated to just 1 race and is straight I don't think they would race gate two female options.

 

Cassandra- Being a male only option and since the first race gate was a female only option she might just be the 2nd race gate.

 

Dorian- first 100% gay male companion he is safe.

 

Sera- first 100% lesbian companion she is safe (plus I doubt they would race gate both elf companions)

 

Vivenne- could be straight humans only, bi humans only or (very unlikely) lesbian humans only (as i said this one is VERY unlikely)
