A friend of mine won't shut the hell up about Smite, hahaha. He's a total fanboy for it, so it must have its appeal.

I mostly play LoL but Smite is pretty awesome. There is a greater feeling of agency and control than top-down games. Though, hit detection for ranged DPS takes a little getting used to.
Aye, another LoL player here, at least when I can muster the energy to play a MOBA. Though I will give Smite a look when it comes to the Xbone... just to see how well that works.

What are good gods for newbs?Ra is good for a starter mage, Dont forget that its important to heal others and always hit try to focus on minion clearing in the beginning. Ao Kuang is pretty easy to. Ymir is a bit harder but tank. Neith is a good starter ADC

I've played a couple of co-op games and so far I like the feel (even though I'm bad lol) of the game. I used to play LoL too, but lost interest in it so I don't know how long I'll be playing smite but so far I'm enjoying it. The only gods I've really played have been Thor and Yimir and I really enjoyed playing Yimir. I also like the 3rd person better than the isometric top down view. The fact that you can't see behind yourself like in other mobas definitely adds another element of risk, that I find appealing.
I played in the beta. Made it to rank 22 or 23. Purchased the character ultra pack combo and a few skin with a few voice pack. Haven't played since the end of the beta.Played mostly Arena .
My favorite god is Mercury and Tyr. I love hercules too.
