Once again thanks for everyone's help, the more responses the better. And yes Julia, doing this research last year would have maybe been better timing but I was just an undergrad back then!   Honours is a one year, research intensive add-on to undergrad studies. Sort of a condensed, hardcore Masters.

 

As for the question about final numbers once the survey closes I can post the total number of responses and if anyone wants a summary of the final results, as is your right, then please email me your email address. My email address is back on the first post. I will have that summary ready in late November/early December.

I filled in a good solid chunk in the final three boxes - because I felt Mass Effect 3 had bigger flaws than the ending (which I still didn't enjoy) so hopefully I made it all clear enough.

Thanks for the interest themikefest. There is a small chance that, as part of my PhD next year, I may revisit Mass Effect and gather more information. Maybe after Mass Effect 4 comes out. However I will probably be going broader with my research and looking at more games, television shows and movies. Assassin's Creed, Dragon Age and Total War are possibilities however nothing has been finalised.

Just completed the survey. Like others have said, I really couldn't give an opinion on a number of those questions due to the fact that I did not buy the series until the summer of last year.

 

If I may, I did not like the phrasing of question 7 or the answers associated with it because I got the impression that they were implying that "You either still love the Mass Effect franchise and will therefore buy or pre-order ME:N, or you hate it and will therefore not waste your money." I can't make an informed decision on buying or pre-ordering something if I know nothing about it.

 

I would also be interested in knowing what the results of this survey are. If not, no biggie. Either way, I hope this research proves beneficial to you.
