In DA Origins you couldn't have facial hair as an elf... is that still true in DA:I? Can Qunari have beards? The pictures of Iron Bull I have seen, seem to indicate light facial hair. It is great that it looks like male characters can now wear makeup.

Elves cannot due to lore reasons. Qunari canonically can have facial hair, so I would assume the Inquisitor can.

Not sure about elves. Qunari can. There's a Qunari with a beard in Mark of the Assassin.

The texture is totally different exactly where facial hair grows - cf. the upper lip around the nose vs. the usual pores.

AFAIK there was an actor in the abysmal Felicia Day abortion Dragon Age: Redemption who played a Dalish elf with a beard, but that seems to be a lore oversight.

Elves couldn't grow beards in Dungeons and Dragons either. Still want to claim that DA2 elves were totally new/unique DA2 Elf purists?

I'm pretty sure I remember reading that Sarel was supposed to be clean-shaven and the stubble was a texture issue/bug.
