Miranda got like 40% of the romances in ME2 all to herself, so I think it is actually fair to say that a good portion of men would romance another character like her.

I just read a post that made me LOL in a separate thread, this guy claims half of Cassandra, Josephine and Vivienne fans would jump ship if their was a female LI that was like Miranda 

That's probably because they're used to games giving them a deformed idea about what women 'should' look like. Giant inflatable backsides and willowy little bodies. 

Somehow I doubt it has anything to do with Miranda's personality.

Gotta agree, I've always found the Dalish more interesting because they have their own culture.

Only character that reminds me of her in DAI is Vivienne, who (lets be honest) even if she is romancable wont be as popular probably because she's black.

Honestly, I like Vivienne a lot more than Miranda, from what we've seen. She's the only female I'd somewhat consider romancing from the lineup.

Entitled cause some might exchange the other LIs for her or entitled because we're happy with the LIs? Either way I stand by my guess that this person knows not what they speak of.

Reminds me of that scene in Witch Hunt when you are trying to translate that elven symbol in the Circle tower library and the Dalish elf companion you're with gets interrupted by a human mage who translates it for you as "mirror." and one of your dialogue options is "Your keeper couldn't even translate the symbol for mirror?"

 

It kinda made me laugh. I'm hoping since we are forced into playing a Dalish elf if we choose elf we can be one who is extremely critical of the Dalish...

No offense meant towards her fans but that's how she came off to me for most of the game (though I do admire how protective and how much she loved her little sister)

I could easily see it go either way with the last two LIs right now. If it's Vivienne, I think she'll likely be straight and maybe human only, but definitely race gated. She might be bi, but I'm leaning towards her probably being heavily restricted, like Solas. If it's Blackwall, I think he'll be bi and it's very likely that Cullen will be race gated instead, since straight women get so many options.

I'd honestly be disappointed in Mark, Mike, and David if Vivienne were to be a straight romance option. (And race-gating to human is basically equivalent to not race-gating at all.) For all the talk that David has been putting out about inclusion and fairness, it doesn't seem right that the consistently favored group is favored yet again (something David has even specifically called out). That would be 3 options for straight characters and 2 options for gays—hardly the relative equity in choice that I've perhaps foolishly believed was a goal for this team.

I'd be comfortable with Vivienne being bisexual (I know she has some great female fans, and I'd be thrilled that they finally have things going their way a bit), as then it would give relative parity to lesbians (depending who the last gated romance is). (And truth be told, I'd have more interest in romancing Vivienne than I ever would in Blackwall, though I think fairness here is currently more important to me.)

I don't consider Iron Bull to be an "honest" option, so I'd still be a bit put out that there's only one for gay guys, but I guess those are limitations we should be used to by now (and I stick with David anyway, so I already know which two romances are going to be the best for me).

Blackwall being straight wouldn't necessarily bother me (especially if the second gated romance was also one of the straight males). I'd be disappointed for the people who wanted to romance him with a male character, but I don't find much objection with the idea that female characters get 3 choices (assuming the other gated romance is as exacting as Solas') while everyone else gets 2.

So a gay character's options are "gay mage" or two versions of "hey, why not?" (not coincidentally, the two bisexual males).

I find that rather unappealing, honestly.
