They have one more option now. Theirs still another LI to go. And either lesbians or gays or both are getting the short end of the stick.

It's not "silly". When specific groups always get less options, that's unfair. It's about quality and quantity, but our quality has very often been lacking in comparison to heterosexual options, as well. The heterosexual options tend to be the more plot heavy and the most developed. The options given to gay men tend to openly favor women, never favoring men. Quality and quantity have not favored us and it's not "silly" to want that to change.

I hope you're right and that the quality of Dorian and Sera's romance is amazing. But if we're going off ME3 it'll probably be slapped together.

I don't mean to be rude, but homosexual men are not the lowest priority. There has been around 8 men available to men in Bioware's history if I recall correctly. In comparison:

 

How many asexual options? 0

How many demisexual options? 0

How many AS options? 1 0 

etc, etc. 

I mean, I am a Demisexual, and this seems kinda weird. Yeah Aces surprisingly get their own bigotry. Every pro LGBT but anti Asexual person throws me. But honestly, many asexuals are aromantic so they are covered. Demiromantics could fit several romances with slight head canon. And asexuals will fit once they decentralize sex in some playthroughs. Nevermind that while we face invisibility and the insistance we are messed up, LGBT people have it worse.

 

I mean the romantics still can enjoy the same content, and as a homoromantic I feel focusing on LGBT is focussing on me. Sebastian was the only one that was actually inconsiderate and just rude from that point. I do feel that homosexual men have lost out and here's hoping there are many more options for them in the future.

Having the numbers tipped at all is not alright. Certain groups getting consistently less content isn't alright. It is a numbers game and there's no reason it shouldn't be. Certain groups getting consistently less content is a problem.

I hope you're right and that the quality of Dorian and Sera's romance is amazing. But if we're going off ME3 it'll probably be slapped together.

We'll have to see how it turns out. They aren't the same writers who made the ME romances as best as I can tell (With my ten seconds of research) so that's one thing to be hopeful for.

Well, Patrick Weekes actually wrote Samantha Traynor before he came to DA, but he's writing Iron Bull and Solas, not either of the same-sex options. DA tends to approach things differently. With Dorian and Sera being party members, I'm hopeful that they'll at least be more developed and plot important than the ME NPCs were. It's true, though, that straight LIs have tended towards being the more important ones. Cassandra definitely smacks of that, but I'm less sure right now about the males. On this, though, we definitely will have to wait and see.

One good thing I saw with Dorian was that he was explaining the Venatori in the Enemy of Thedas trailer. Meaning we probably get him quite early on. Which hopefully speaks to his plot relevance.

Hopefully, but it depends on how important the Venatori actually are to the plot. I'm not sure how they fair in comparison to the red templar plot, the grey wardens, etc. There's a lot going on with DA:I, so it's hard to say what plots are going to be most important.

I have a felling most of if not all will have big parts in the game Doiran was very relevant in the Red Cliff Demo till Liliana screwed it up.

Solas is a fade expert so it seems he will probably be a big help with the breach in general.

All its doing is making people worried and paranoid so I'm leaving it alone till they announce the last one. Keep in mind the last time I said this Solas was announced the very next day.

I've heard a lot of people throwing around the idea that that blog post mentioned by Mr.Darrah might be posted this weekend. We'll have to see.

Well, I was going to troll this thread by announcing that we just got confirmation of the last LI by leading you to a Rick Roll video on Youtube, but since the damn service plays ads first before the actual video itself, that's shot to hell and back.

 

But really, I'll just advise not to get too invested in what could be the announcement, like what a couple of posters have said before. I could wish one way because of so many reasons, but in the end, it's already been decided and there's only so much we can say now for the next game. At this point, I'll probably just blog about what I think later on rather than repeat what everyone else had said here. But eh,now I'm just more invested in how the characters, particularly my favourites so far, really play out.

I'd say Solas is also early on since it's been said he joins after seeing the breach and knowing that the inquisition will need someone with knowledge of the Fade. Bull really can't be placed either since he doesn't seem to have any plot relevance so far.

I think some of them, like Iron Bull and Blackwall, might just depend on you going to a specific area to get them. It's likely that a lot of them depend on when you decide to pick them up. You can probably do some recruitment quests before others, just depending on what quest you follow up on first. I imagine the only ones that are set are the ones you start with, the people that founded the Inquisition with you, and the ones like Vivienne and Sera that they say find you. I imagine they show up once you've hit a certain marker, like you grow the Inquistion enough or something like that. That's just my guess as to how it will work.

Yeah, I do know what you mean. A lot of the times I just laugh it off, but in a perfect world, I'd like to see a romance tailored to me. Which would mean a rad bromance with hugging, since I'm a pretty low-key ace myself.

 

I don't know; I'm easily confused by the whole kit and kaboodle.

 

But I really like warm fuzzy stories. Right now I'm doing DA:O and decided to go for Zevran, and it's all a little more uncomfortable than I remembered.  But I'll stick it out for the sweet stuff.
