Agree i'd prefer equality of choice(dislike all this gating and move away from da2 approach) but definitely not down with this well because you've had more options in the past you should get less now stance.

Yeah it worries me that everyone's idea of equality is giving straight people less choices.

It's been shown that the most played romanceable characters are straight females, So yeah if there's more of us then that just makes sense.

Of course it would, because there's been more of them in the past! lol

So? Why does everyone else deserve special treatment?

Why do you deserve special treatment? You've gotten that special treatment for forever now.

So gay people getting some is refreshing.

Still praying for Blackwall. I can't take another disappointment. D:

Yeah, I'm hoping one of the last LI's are gay. That would be very surprising if it happens.

The most romanced character in Dragon Age Origins is Leliana who is bisexual. And everyone in DA2 is also bisexual. So stats don't support you here.

Someone has to represent us, everyday I come one these forums I see people hoping that we get less options. Maybe the straight fans are less vocal but yeah someone has to at least try to argue that we deserve equality and that no one deserves special treatment.

Flawed logic is flawed.

There are more straight female LIs. So straight female LIs make up the largest percentage of romances.

And your point? Let's have a game with more straight male romances and we'll see if more people still play straight female romances. But until we do, your argument has some serious holes in it.

Fail post is fail.

Nobody is saying that. But since straight people again got one more LI, then it's only fair if gay ppl get one more too.

Inequality isn't equality if it's answered with inequality

you're not talking about equality. You said it's fair to give them special treatment because straight female characters are most used as romance options. ô_o

You're right, you deserve your equality as much as LGB people and the romantics. Let's strive for equality guys, not more options than everyone else.

Because sometimes I get quite angry at the idea that we deserve less because we've had more. We all want equality not more inequality and more gay romances than straight is still inequality.

Oh wow, I'm a straight gamer and I can't see any logic in straight gamers being given some protected status over which group

has one fewer options, now that we know that will happen.

It's going to be a shame that any group ends up with fewer options,

but it would be mean for any group to assume that it won't be or can't be them.

Given the reality, I hope the romances are awesome and that everyone will have a good time

and that the balances are even better next time.

Did I miss something? I thought straight women had the most options of anyone right now.

Maybe I can't count.

that's not the idea. The idea is, if Bioware plans to make unequal choices, that it isn't always the same group which get the most or the fewest options but to change this from game to game.

That's still the way things stand as of right now.  You're arithmetic is sound.

Lol. There's already inequality if you haven't noticed.... so it should be answered with equality.

Oh god, we're back to "We suffered in the past so now you should have to!" You can't fight for equal representation when your answer is to provide more unequal representation.

Not really, if Blackwall is gay for example, this would make 3 hetero, 3 gay/lesbian and 2 Bi/Pan. If anything the bisexuals and pansexuals are getting less.

That's my point making us have less choice isn't equality at all, It's just as bad as us getting more.

And this is why I don't like equality being reduced to a numbers game.
