I think it's mostly in good humour due to how infamous her butt is.

why? is your transsexual friend only attracted to other transsexual people? Because most transsexual people are attracted to males or females, not specifically males who used to be females and vice versa. Only bad thing is that we can't have a transsexual character editor, to make us look like a female when playing as a man and the other way round.

sadly I think we have a better chance of the release date of the game being moved back to October than that happening

I like both Vivienne and Blackwall equally, so I'm looking forward to the remaining LI no matter whom it is.
But more than anything, I think it'd be cool, from a story/companion perspective to have two male or female companions hook up during the course of the game. We've had a few hinted couples in previous Bioware games, but only straight ones so far. Because of that, I'd love to see Blackwall hook up with either Dorian or Iron Bull, or Josephine and Sera or Vivienne if unromanced.
So, fingers crossed that something new and exciting like this will happen.

I don't care if it's the companions specifically, but I'd like to see more same-sex couples (or single queer people) in the games. Um, in a healthy relationship that doesn't involve on handing the other over to the darkspawn or literally stabbing them in the back and framing them for treason.

I just read a post that made me LOL in a separate thread, this guy claims half of Cassandra, Josephine and Vivienne fans would jump ship if their was a female LI that was like Miranda
Miranda got like 40% of the romances in ME2 all to herself, so I think it is actually fair to say that a good portion of men would romance another character like her.
Well, she is highly intelligent, capable with both biotic and tech, has a nice figure, can take care of herself and there is no risk of pregnancy with her...what is there to NOT like ?
As for Miranda vs the DA trio....
Cassandra stabs with a knife, Miranda just shoots them dead (Wilson). Miranda has nice hair, the only rival here is Josephine. Miranda's intelligence and combat capabilities puts her on par or above Vivienne (Cassandra & Josie cannot do magic). Then there is dat ass', none of the three have any counter to that.
I have nothing against Cassandra, Josephine and Vivienne...But this is Miranda Lawson we are talking about. She has biotic, tech, combo explosions, guns, intellect and good looks...She is genetically engineered for that for crying out loud...Not easy to beat that...
It seems Vivienne might end up straight for the sake of symmetry

I hope the last LI is BI, wether it be Blackwall or Vivienne.
I don't think romance options necessarily have to be equal if they are fair and not always skewed a certain way (as in having more straight options). I think the DA team have the right to tell the stories they want to with the characters they want to. However, I will feel irked if the last option is straight Vivienne, because then it would reinforce the "there are always more straight options" thing. I'd rather Vivienne or Blackwall be gay options if the last option is going to be as restricted as Solas (assuming the last race-gated option is the remaining one.) Female elf is obviously not the most commonly played combination, so a romance specifically for that combination does make me think the writers are willing to tell the story they want regardless. If one of the remaining love interests is gay that would reinforce the idea for me. Otherwise I'll just feel disillusioned and cynical and wonder why I even bothered to give the benefit of the doubt.
I can't complain, though, since I like Solas, Iron Bull, Cullen, Josephine, Cassandra, Sera, Dorian, etc. and don't really care what race/gender combination I have to play.
Also, that theory about Solas wanting elf babies made me think of him being very direct about it and asking every female elf encountered to please bear his children a la Miroku.

Okay. Maybe Bioware creates such a companion one day. The chances aren't that low, because Bioare is really open minded. But I doubt they'll give us transsexual companions in in every game. I just wish that we'll have the option to make our own character transsexual. That's something they could really introduce so that people who identify as transsexual get the possibility to create a character that fits their personality.
