This why I hate looking at a characters orientation as a number to be distributed between who they are or aren't able to be romanced with.

 

Solas begin eleven female only is a first and make me want to role a female eleven character because it is so different to what we have had before.

 

I only wonder why "accidentally" it's always gay folks that are the ones that receive the short end of the stick. Since now, with Solas being 3rd straight female romance option, it can't be the other way that either gay men will have it the worst, or particularly gay women with only one companion romance - or maybe both if the remaining romance is straight too.

Rasaan in the comics was hanging out the Antaam too, still doesn't mean she doesn't serve in the Antaam. I'd hazard a guess the Athlok role is actually under the Arigena.

You know what I would like to see? Same Sex people getting together in games. Imagine Donna and Aveline's awkward coupling. Or Cortez and Vega kissing in corridors. Or even 2 companions that are not romanceable getting together because they click. So if no one romanced iron Bull him and Blackwall would get together.

Well, I liked Wade and Herren's relationship, but I can totally see Bull and Dorian hooking up.

I said LGB because i knew Transsexuals have no representation at all in the game as far as we know.

I have plenty of representation, I get to play a female, which is what I am.  I have zero desire to play a character going through my struggle, is a nightmare as it is. 

 

Representation of what my life is like, and the struggles we face is far better left to movies or tv shows than games in my opinion.  There's just no real adequate way to do it in a game.  It's not fun, and it's something I'd rather have kept out of my fantasy game settings.  I don't need or care for the reminder there and I really don't see it doing any good in this medium.

Though fenris/izzy didn't had any relationship. I'd like to see Sera developing a relationship with someone else.

I don't consider being able to play as yourself representation.

My PC in Origins was gay, presumably the only lesbian that existed in that game. The rest were bisexual women and MAYBE Hespith as an exception, but she died five seconds after I met her. I don't recall a lesbian character in Awakening or DA II either.

Or, who knows Viv or Blackwall might not be romanceable but might have an orientation and may get with someone of the same gender. Vivienne and Josephine would be a pair that could be the most powerful couple ever.

 

Or Blackwall and Iron Bull could be grizzled warriors of battle who both realize death comes way too soon.

Sure.  I'd love to see Sera and Josephine end up together if I don't romance either of them.  Josephine is ungated and bisexual and Sera is lesbian (and we're assuming not gated against humans), so why not, right?

I mean it isn't perfect but can help ramify some of the romance/representation issue if one of your companions are lesbian/gay but just not intrested in you.

Well in DA2 all the romances were bi, say 1. So I don't see the whole "always" in this debate.
