The gates originally planned on Bull added to the ones on Solas are really the only thing that makes me think there's hope Blackwall could be the last LI. If there's no other bi/gay male, it means they were at one point willing to let some gay male races have only one choice, when the 2 baseline has always been an important target. So, if it turns out that's so.. it's kind of just added salt in the wounds.

Until John Epler toiled to make sure everyone could get a chance to ride the Bull.

His pain and sweat will be our sweat and uncomfortable-unless-warmed-up.

Well, she is highly intelligent, capable with both biotic and tech, has a nice figure, can take care of herself and there is no risk of pregnancy with her...what is there to NOT like ?

As for Miranda vs the DA trio....

Cassandra stabs with a knife, Miranda just shoots them dead (Wilson). Miranda has nice hair, the only rival here is Josephine. Miranda's intelligence and combat capabilities puts her on par or above Vivienne (Cassandra & Josie cannot do magic). Then there is dat ass', none of the three have any counter to that.

I have nothing against Cassandra, Josephine and Vivienne...But this is Miranda Lawson we are talking about. She has biotic, tech, combo explosions, guns, intellect and good looks...She is genetically engineered for that for crying out loud...Not easy to beat that...

Intelligent? Sure. Decent looking? I'd even grant that. What I don't like is a manipulative nature (I don't care how nice she acts in 3, I'm not about to forget the suggesting to put a mind control chip in my noggin), I don't like her waving off anything Cerberus does as for the good of humanity up until it's the Human Reaper then wackysmackydo I guess Cerberus is ebil lul :D

Yeah, no I don't care for her character. I never was particularly interested in the 'perfect' appearing sort of people and certainly not vain people (No, she didn't have reason to be. There's never a good reason to be arrogant). And as for the comparison, there's more to Cassandra than stabbing with a knife for Maker's sake.

Dragon Hunting I would consider a touch more dangerous than rogue tomes flying about. Miranda's hair was meh, it was long hair woo not like I don't see that. Combat skill... Considering Cassandra was Hand of the Divine and all the vents of Dawn of the Seeker, she isn't a push over not by a long shot. Josephine's talent is obviously not in combat but in diplomacy which I'd say Miranda fails spectacularly.

In the end, there's plenty to dislike if you wanted to. Just depends on opinion.

Pretty sad that they already said playersexuality isn't their ideal way to handle romances and they're not going back to it... :/

All bisexual over all "playersexual" any day though.

Bisexual Blackwall (or worse straight) seems like the most unlikely scenario due to the fact that would mean straight women have 4/8 options.  Straight males and lesbians would riot.  I couldn't blame them either.  I am going to guess it will be Bisexual Vivienne then only gay males get less options.  However, one of those options is Dorian so we win regardless.

I'd be totally fine with that too.

I would love for them to go back to 4 bisexual LIs and just focus on developing those plots as much as possible.

Can we stop assuming that people liked Miranda because of her butt or Just her look ? That is like saying that people want cullen because he is pretty or solas because of tight pants.

I wasn't saying that was the only reason. I was saying that I think that helped the disproportionately large (40% of all players?) preference. And also being tongue-in-cheek, hence the smiley.

But there never has been a Bioware game where straight/gay males/females get the same amount of options. By that record, it's more likely that there will be unequalness, and probably in favor of straight men and/or straight women. I'm really not sure why people expect that DA:I will give equal options. They've never done that before and haven't been saying they're doing it this time.

In my suggestion there wouldn't be equal options.  There aren't going to be equal options no matter what.  I just think my scenario is the most likely.  Though it's all just a random guess at this point.

Hope. That's why. DA2 was a good start imo cause the only straight LI was DLC and pretty lackluster compaired to the other ones.

That's basically it. This is a step back for equality, which is really upsetting.

Which is why, as I see it, Solas (and whoever the other racegated LI is ) should have a good reason for being gated. Just being only physically attracted to female elves doesn't cut it.

We shouldn't have gotten our hopes up in the first place. Apparently even BioWare still feels the need to cater to straight people.

Or they learned they shouldn't treat bisexuality as a compromise, because it isn't.

That wouldn't require them to make more straight options than gay or bi options.

Ah but since Solas is for women that makes it a blow against the patriarchy which ofsetts the straight privilege.

This, they're not exactly catering to straight men having another romantic interest for women.  And honestly, why not have more options for women?  They're a growth market for AAA gaming.

Considering how straight women have gotten the short end of the stick lately, I don't see the problem with them having Solas. To be frank, all I can say is too bad if you had plans otherwise. Just pick yourself up and move on.

Everyone's getting at least two choices.  Past that, I think Bioware can do whatever they want.

Now, if only they make Vivienne a bissexual romance for all races, she'll be the Ultimate LI!
