Yes, I too love
the idea of Josephine going doromantic content between women!

are we still having fun times for all in here?
Kaidan was my favorite Bioware LI. ![]()
Zevran would have been, if he didn't tell me up front that he was more into women. I mean, it was pretty obvious Kaidan was, too, but at least he had the tack to keep it to himself.
I absolutely lost it at "sapphic sisters". Laughed so hard I started snorting. We must protect our gay wimminz against this sea of horny straight male folk Maria, to arms my sapphic sisters!

It's a serious problem with bi male love interests. Zevran was the only one who came right out and said it, but Kaidan only has a history with women, Fenris hooks up with Isabela and shows no attraction to men unless you romance him, Anders won't tell a female Hawke that he was sexually involved with Karl, but he'll joke about lightning sex with Isabela in front of male Hawke. I don't have a problem with being in a relationship with bisexual men who have a history with women, but the extent that Bioware goes to play down their same-sex interest is pretty aggravating after a while.
I'm interested to see if this is going to be a problem again with Iron Bull. I'm worried he'll primarily be interested in women, but have a, "oh, whatever, if it's got a hole..", attitude with men..
We do, its something different to experience
Some do, I never played a gay character.
Alright so if I want to get jealousy dialogues, my best bet is with a female elf. Then I can hit 6 different characters who can proceed to argue with each other in banters (Although if the advisers don't do jealousy dialogues then I can cut them off the list). I wonder what happens if I take a full party of people I've dated in to see two advisers I've dated.
Whaaat? He says that?

"Do I prefer women ? Yes...yes I think I do." - Zevran Arainai
I believe they said flirting locks you out of other romances pretty early on this time.
Kaidan doesn't really have a history that you ever learn about (besides a childhood crush).Kaidan only has a history with women
Fenris shows no attraction to anyone. Not even to Isabela that I can recall.Fenris hooks up with Isabela and shows no attraction to men unless you romance him
It would be nice, but it's an extremely recent thing to even have bisexual people, and only DA has the sort of reactivity (so far) where it could be expected to be shown (and Leliana clearly expresses interest in both genders in her conversations, so it's not a universal thing).I don't have a problem with being in a relationship with bisexual men who have a history with women, but the extent that Bioware goes to play down their same-sex interest is pretty aggravating after a while.

So there is only one straight female LI option? Lame.
Iron Bull is one of only two options I have, so it's pretty hard not to care.
Just found out. Dissapointed, surprised but not overly so. I was really hoping for a gay Blackwall, or a lesbian vivienne. At least this way, no one is singled out for least romances? The hardest about it is surprisingly Cullen. In DA2, I was very confused how he was in the game, because most of my stuff said he went insane and killed a bunch of mages. I get the epilogues were retconned but that largely means none of them had an effect so some of my favorite things harrowmont/Bhelen decision for example has no water. Honestly if they needed him in, it would have been cool if he was the villain whose context for villainy would have made more sense from our angles. And now as an advisor, he becomes a vital party member that I am still having trouble dissasociating from being a serial killer.
And I don't mind at all he is a romance, I know he is popular and makes a lot of fans happy and there is no problem with that, for me. But I am tired of him getting so much, I don't know, extra stuff. I don't normally dislike characters but he seems to fly in the face of logic and being a fair military leader from what we understand he is not, well, qualified. he didn't really fight Meredith except when it came to killing Hawke and he was still pretty extreme.
It's not the fans, they are wonderful and deserve as much of Cullen as they can get, but I am starting to really resent the character for being an exception to every rule.
So there is only one straight female LI option? Lame.
Yes, but you do technically have 2 options. So don't worry so much.
Hey, I can't even bring myself to consider him an option, so you're already better off than I am.Iron Bull is one of only two options I have, so it's pretty hard not to care.

I'm not really interested in romancing either, but the approach you're taking is a bit rude to his fans. People have different tastes, you know?
I'm more concerned with how his portrayal will represent bisexual people. We didn't really need another promiscuous bisexual trope.
Thanks.

Yeah...I feel like the media doesn't portray bisexuality very well ![]()
One thing that drove me crazy watching Buffy was how Willow was never 'out' as bisexual, because from an outsider's point of view, that was much the case. Instead, it seemed like they treated the whole thing like she just suddenly 'turned' lesbian one day.

Aw, that's too bad... the jealousy dialogues were fun sometimes... oh well.

And people who don't have a problem playing as a female human or elf
Edit: and Bisexuals get the most options ![]()
actually straight females have Blackwall (any race), Iron Bull (any race), Cullen (human and elf females) and Solas (female elves only)
Honestly, I think there is a lot more to Iron Bull he obviously has issues with his religion but still believes it very much, obviously his previous role in the Qun was a toll on him as well. Iron bull does sound way more than just promiscuity although the mentions of his sexuality certainly seem to belabor the point.
