I don't agree that there couldn't be more friendship content than the level in Origins, so I guess we're just going to have to agree to disagree. It's a totally subjective point of preference, but I would have definitely been happy to get more friendship content with characters in any Bioware game I've played.  

 

I am afraid that I have to agree with you in that we will have to agree to dissagree. It seem that bioware can't seize an opportunity to give a gift to us without an outcry for more of one thing or another, or an accusation of being totally unfair. All the friendship arcs are still there and not made less important. If you inquisitor doesn't qualify for a romance, then take those tomatoes and make maranera sauce instead of complaining that you wanted alfrado like the table next to you has. I for one now have another hundred hours of gameplay so that I can see all the romances as various genders.

I have personally had sexual partners in the past that I was not attracted to. So just because someone has sex with someone doesn't mean that they're attracted to them. ;P

Ditto to that! I think he will be my fourth playthrough.

I will play a female Inquisitor first and see who does the best at charming me and then put them in order of most interesting to least interesting as I play to determin my order of romances through different playthroughs. I'm so excited that I'm beside myself!

Now that my delighted shock over Blackwall is wearing off, I'm surprised Cullen and Solas almost didn't make it. They seem to have the largest female fanbase.

It's fairly surprising that they only planned Josephine as an NPC romance at first, I guess. I definitely always thought there'd be a male and female once we knew it was happening.

Yep I'm very suprised as well that they weren't planned as romances first. DAO and DA2 both had male human and male elf as romance options. Cullen pretty much is most traditionally good-looking guy in the bunch as well and Solas would fit for pretty elf-type so I imagine most girls would love to romance them over BW and Iron Bull who have more masculine and sturdier looks.

That's true but I'm going with majority. Majority of female DAO players most likely find Alistair better looking than Oghren or Sten for example. I'm pretty sure that majority of female players in DAI find Cullen more attractive than Blackwall although he has his fans as well. People have different tastes but there is still lists of sexiest male actor etc and those couldn't exist if large amount of people wouldn't have similar tastes.

Greg Ellis heavily hinted Cullen was, so Bioware decided to confirm it at PAX.

It was only because his voice actor leaked the info while he was in recording. Solas and Cullen both were accidentally leaked.

The outrage would have caused the forum to go up in flames. Varric was bad enough, but the Cullenites have been holding a torch since DAO! I'm so glad they got their wish, and I hope he'll live up to the expectations.
