I think most people are just making guesses because Allan said there was a reason Vivienne wasn't a romance that made sense to him. I don't think characters need a hard set reason not to want romance, but it seems likely there is something, from what we've been told.

Honestly, I'd be super happy if she was with Celene. They seem to have personalities that would mesh great together and I think Celene and Briala are probably beyond repair. Vivienne being with Celene would actually be best case scenario, for me.

I was wondering the same thing. Aveline seemed clueless to some of Hawke's flirt lines, which was pretty fun (at least imo). Varric in DA2 calling Hawke "too high maintenance" for him was hilarious as well. I'd like to see that continue.

I'm not gonna lie, I would LOVE to have another companion who is already in a relationship. I don't mind someone who's just not interested, but I'd like to see more people who are already in relationships. In DA, out of the companions, only Aveline is currently married while she's a companion. Then we have Isabela and Oghren who are widowed (although I guess technically, Oghren was married still to Branka when he first joins and then could be married to Felsi again in DA: A).
I liked that we had Jaheira and Khalid who were already married and together in BG. Although, we all know how well that turned out for Khalid......

I think Viv might have another reason though, maybe something as simple as just not wanting to be tied down by anyone. Her ambition might mean she avoids personal relationships that get too close.

I'm pretty sure Vivienne would have better judgment than that.
It's possible that Vivienne is asexual but due to her personality, she also has little interest in emotional intimacy.
