I agree completely I also picked those two for my Warden and Hawke I also tried some of the others but Leliana
and Isabella are definitely my favourite's in DA so far
Who will you pick in DA:I?
Cassandra, but Josephine may win me over. You?

So what's people's opinions on the idea of not just ending the romances at sex? I confess, one of the things I always disliked about Dragon Age: Origins was it ended at the moment you became lovers.
I always wanted to hear more afterward.
I hope we'll see bits to the end.
I love it. Being asexual, myself, I never saw why sex had to be the "endpoint" of romances.
Happy to hear that we'll be getting more romantic scenes and sex isn't an end objective really.
Atleast, that's the impression I got from the tweets, haha.
It's certainly better than Origins where everyone at least has a choice available to them.I would like to point out that everyone at the moment, except straight females, have the same amount of options.
I'm a straight man. There are two women I can romance.
If I was a gay man, there are two men I can romance.
Straight women have three, but only if their an elf. Lesbians have 2.
I'm really not sure what the problem is..? Could someone enlighten me?
She won't be a romance LI.
You are all beneath her!
I would rather I didn't always get less.

It's a tough call. No Kelly option, probably either.
In RL, you can date someone and break up with them and move on but that's a bit much to ask from Bioware.

Because no matter what character gets reveal as a romance and no matter their sexuality, someone is getting less than others. I kinda wish Solas and Blackwall/Vivienne remained unromancable and cut the racegating entirely. Less hurt that way.

It's kind of annoying, really, that it's the straight male who is the one who won't date outside his species.

I'm not worried about someone getting more romantic options than me.

If this happens I predict alot of "strong independent black woman who don't need no man" memes here.
I don't want to climb the wall, just give me a bi Viv and I'll be content. Hell it might ease the sting a lil over Cass, a lil. ![]()

Those don't need to be mutually exclusive ![]()
I'd rather the characters be interested in what suits them. If it makes sense for their personality then I don't care.
I don't want them making characters bi/straight and what not just to make it equal.
It'd be hilarious if Blackwall was racegated against humans.
"I only date Dwarf (wo)men. I like em small and feisty like my ex."

Except in Mass Effect 3, where there were more female options for fem!Shep than male ones...
If some female Inquisitors get three options, good for them.
I had thought that leaving romances at six without race-gates would have been fairer, but at the same time, it feels like a half-step from Origins and DAII, rather than... what we've got now...
I'm happy that there is no "playersexual" bullshit again and protagonist cannot romance Leliana.

So Bioware writer should write characters about whats Fair and not what they want the Character's to be.
Check the forums and you'll see quite a few guys insisting that she's still involved with their wardens raising their child(ren.)
That's... a bad thing?
Her very last line was about facing the future(basically DAI) together.

David Gaider says it was never about playersexuality and just there was the coincidence of four bisexuals in one group.
I admit, it didn't feel that was as only Anders and Isabela came off as bisexual as you'd think a preference for both might have been mentioned by the others.
And that's only assuming Karl and Anders were involved which was unclear, IMHO.
The game would have been improved, I think, with mention of the preferences of both Fenris and Merril.

It wasn't a "coincidence". They were cutting down on costs and time by putting all the romance content into four characters.

Lmao, If you count Liara and Sam as "more" options, k then. Gay men and gay women got 2 options where straight men got the whole ship.
And no, I don't count Kelly and Allers.
And yes good for them, gay men already lost Solas and if Viv ends up the last LI and she gets to be straight then we lose. Again.
It's kind of annoying, really, that it's the straight male who is the one who won't date outside his species.
It was the same in Origins. In all three games we've had one nonhuman. Merril. We need some lady Dwarves and Qunari up in this biz.
If Vivienne is straight, I'll cry. But it seems likely.
Do straight Orlasians exist?
