Why do you think Anders is unlikely?

Because a lot of people killed him and he seems to be strongly disliked. I'd be happy to be wrong, though. I think it's likely we'll see Justice again, but I'm not holding out for actually seeing Anders.

I don't see why there should be more though, in games designed and marketed for the average player. 

 

If a game did have more same gender romance content then it should really be a game specifically designed and marketed towards LGBT players or fans of LGBT romance content.

Bioware doesn't like him. Like, "he did his part, he has to go". They also said that in their "headcanon" the best path for him is rivalry. And so his death in the end of the DA2, tis "poetical justice".

Chances are slim.

I'm not talking about the sexuality of the characters. There should be things with more gay characters than straight characters in mainstream media.

 

I'm talking specifically about the niche of same-gender optional romance content in games.

A fair point but I just assume that they'll likely announce Vivienne as the next love interest. That way everyone has an equal spread of choice.

Well I meant starting with the assumption they were unbalanced.

 

I think having exactly the same balance all the time creates a kind of stale uniformity, but I'm not going to argue it shouldn't be that way.

That's the problem here, everybody wants more options than the other group, because reasons.

 

And at the end of the day, somebody isn't going to get what they want, and then the tears start flowing and the rage starts rising, it's just sad.

Fair enough. The difference though is we haven't played the game yet and thus don't really know the characters. Maybe it's just me, but I always end up romancing someone I had no plans on romancing at the beginning. Like jack in mass effect, or Merrill in da2. But I guess everyone's just excited

You put stock into what matters to you. It's not gonna be the same for everyone.
