I'm sadly getting the feeling Inquisition will be the same as Mass effect for me. Were I would have to choose between these options: Cassandra (Ashley) that I found annoying or Josephine (Liara) that I found boring. I hope I'm wrong, but so far that's how I feel. Hope Vivienne will also be an option so we can be mage supremacists together and ride off in the sunset.

yes this is annoing, male Inquisitors have

hybrid of Ashley and Jack-Cass

Liara-Josephine(but i find her to be another Isabella/Lelianna)

Miranda-Vivienne(even if she is a mage she is bald and pro Orlais and pro Chantry Circle)

and male non-humans Inquisitors, especially anti Orlais and anti Orlais Chantry, Tempalrs will have nothing

hope for future addons-dlc who will have new companions and especially advisors

Except we already know that Inquisition has more LGBT chaarcters than any previous Bioware game. And that's only major characters, we still don't know anything about the orientation of minor NPC's.

So to be more accurate, it's like bickering about the lack of minority characters on the way to see Avengers when the trailer specifically advertised their new set of minority characters.

We know that? There are four LGB LIs and Leliana, thus far. Mass Effect had more LGB characters among the cast than that at times. It's not more LGB romances than they've had before and it's not more LGB characters, generally.

Oh, I hope Josephine isn't anything like Liara.

I never much cared for the latter.

Josephine has a sexy accent, plus is all about SCRIBBLING!

So...big difference!

Diplomacy Fu!

Cassandra is pretty damn badass, though.

Yeah, it's not as if Marvel's characters have been rebooted, rewritten and re-conceptualised for modern audiences!

Certainly not dozens of times since their creation!

And the films are extremely faithful adaptations! They do not skip or alter any details at all!

When they have been rebooted normal only small things change about the character the films are very faithful adaptions and the details have only been changed slightly.

Ceoldoren, for someone who claims not to be insulting, your tone is super patronizing.

And I didn't ask who you insulted, I asked who you think I attacked that warranted such backlash from multiple posters.

Long story short, it all started when the templar order (RL Templars) became too rich and powerful for the church's tastes and they basically accused they member of this new thing called sodomy in order to exterminate them.

You can't trust a templar, my friend. This is a lesson we must all learn to accept.

Bisexual: Josehpine, Leliana, Iron Bull

Homosexual: Celene, Dorian, Sera, Divine Justinia

Player decided their sexuality: Hawke

It's already around the same if not more than Origins and Dragon Age 2, and that's with only major characters that we know about pre-release.

Well, since you ask.

Dorian is the only character I was ever even remotely interested in, lucky for me.

But that may change. Going into DA2 I thought Fenris was da bomb.

It was the first and only time I was ever wrong about anything.

That attitude is why people began attacking you! Try to be a little less confrontational next time, it'll do wonders for how people treat you! :)

So I think that my playthroughs are going to look like this:

1st playthrough - male qunari two-handed warrior - romance Dorian

2nd playthrough - male dwarf dual wield rogue - romance Iron Bull

3rd playthrough - female dwarf sword and shield warrior - romance Vivienne (if not, then romance Josephine, I guess)

4th playthrough - male qunari support mage - romance Blackwall?

A few things:

1.)  Obviously, I won't be able to have an Inquisitor romance both Vivienne and Blackwall, so those later two playthroughs are going to change a bit based on how the characters play out in the game, as well as who the last LI is.

2.)  I might switch Iron Bull and Dorian depending on how Bull's relationship turns out with the qunari Inquisitor.  While I love the idea of my male Cadash "riding the bull", I think that if the story creates a really interesting dynamic between the qunari Inquisitor and Iron Bull, then I might decide to see how that plays out instead and then have Cadash romance Dorian.

3.)  The romance options actually play a huge role in whether or not I'm going to play a female character.  I didn't really like either of the options in DA 2, so my Lady Hawke never got past the 1st "chapter".  I'm hoping that, if I can't have Blackwall, at least I can have Vivienne with a Lady Cadash, otherwise, I might not ever feel motivated to really play through a full game with a female character.

Wow, I was having such a difficult day but then I came here and saw this little circus of madness, tears and hysteria and lots of exclamation marks
Thanks for a good laugh

Personally I'd go for Solas or Iron Bull, but because I can't have dalish self inserts in both DAO and DAI my main Inquisitor will be the talvashoth dude who loves Cassandra
My vashoth girl will smooch the Bull
The other two... I ain't sure to be honest

Just sayin'.

Celene and Divine Justinia aren't even confirmed yet, but I think it's a bit of a stretch to count someone who will probably be blown up in the first five minutes as a major cast member. Either way, it's not safely more than Bioware (or other games) have done before.

But my point isn't just to trash Bioware, which I feel like this is lending to. I hope they do have more LGB characters among their cast. I hope the last LI is LGB. If they do these things, then I will give them a measure of praise for doing it. I'm not arguing it's an impossibility. It just strikes me as odd to say it's ridiculous to completely throw out their history of inclusion because "we don't know" what will happen this time. Bioware's history of LGB representation, and especially that of gay men, has not been outstanding. Even if they make an improve, and I'm not saying this means that's not worthy of praise, but even if they do, they have a ways to go before we can say their representation is consistently good. It will take multiple games where they maintain and build on that progress, which I hope is something we see and, if I didn't think it was likely to happen at all, I wouldn't be here.

I'm going to try to romance them all in time (If I have enough play through energy in me  )

This is role play and I'm going for a completionist romance-through ...

Oh... I have nothing against Dwarves in case anyone gets offended ,

just prefer to roll as human/elf/qunari...

Cassandra. I've had a big thing for warrior women ever since I read the second book of Kingkiller Chronicles.

Though Josephine is starting is almost as high on my priorities.

You too huh? For me it started out as going for Cassandra but since I'm a qunari I should consider josephine as a backup in case of race gatedness, but over time and learning more about her she won me over. If Cassandra isn't race gated I've got a hard decision to make.

Cassandra is an in your face, ends justify the means (Crestwood demo not saving the village), deep down romantic warrior woman.

Josephine is an adorable, seaside trip loving, wine loving and pen-is-mightier-than-sword diplomatic lady.

Both have accents and both are devoted to the Inquisition.

Both are also romanceable firsts in Dragon Age games.

Cassandra is the first romanceable female warrior, Josephine is the first romanceable female diplomat.

Cassandra is a mix of Ashley and Aveline.

Josephine is a mix of Liara and Samantha Traynor.

Both appeal to different types of male Inquisitors.

Depends on who you are and what type of women you like. You can't go wrong with either of them though.

At least they bother to try. Pretty much any other company won't care about adding such contents, were the protagonists and characters are either straight or the title is mostly actions focused and won't bother to explore the characters sexuality at all.
