Demisexuality is considered to be on the asexuality scale by many people. In addition asexuals may define themselves as aromantic, panromantic, biromantic, heteroromantic or homoromantic. "Asexual" is a very broad term. If you'd like to learn more, this is a great website. I always point the curious in that direction, lots of great discussion there.

Just can't believe they'd have given straight female dwarves 0 companion LI's before Iron Bull had his race gating removed.
Advisors should not be discounted. It's been made clear that they have as much content as companions.
Best case scenario for me:
Blackwall - bisexual (or gay) and ungated (with Cullen being the other race-gated one)
Also a good scenario for me:
Vivienne - bisexual (or lesbian) and ungated (with either Cassandra or Sera being the other race-gated one)
Worst case scenario forme:
Either Vivienne OR Blackwall as a straight option OR Dorian as a gated option

That's true, but whether everyone did is a shaky point. There's a quote from Allan saying he didn't think everyone had two options at one point. David Gaider said they used the chart to make sure everyone got to options at GaymerX and he used "gay male dwarves" as an example. We've been told that Iron Bull was only ungated because Epler put in his own time at home to make it happen. So, it's a lot of conflicting information on this.

It was at GaymerX, where they announced Iron Bull being available for everyone.
Ah, well then that doesn't mean a whole lot, huh. Well, it was fun while it lasted.
If Blackwall or Vivenne aren't bi and are gated from dwarfs I'll be sad not throwing windows through chairs sad but still sad. I'm also hoping that the other gated LI isn't as heavily gated as Solas is.

Last time I checked if Vivienne is Bi and humans only everyone will have 2 options except human straight males, human gay females and straight female elves who will have 3 options each

Suppose Vivienne isn't even romanceable and Cassandra is race-gated...the implications are unfortunate

Wasn't that the whole point of the discussion that Gaider had at GaymerX where he discussed how The Chart helped them make sure that everyone had choices (and then he used gay male dwarf as an example)?

David Gaider said it at the GaymerX panel (it's on YouTube, just search "Bioware GaymerX", if you want) and Allan said it on the forums. His quote was posted earlier, I'll look for it or Phate Phoenix might show up randomly before I find it, as she tends to do. lol
What David Gaider said was that they used the chart to make sure everyone got 2 options. He used an example that was basically, "we can't do that because gay male dwarves would be totally screwed", and he said the baseline they set for every group was 2 and that they used "the chart" to keep track.
Allan's forum quote said everyone would get two, but he didn't think it was always the case.
So, it's conflicting information. Was Iron Bull included in the chart because Epler had already made the commitment to fixing him? I don't know.

Removing one of the features that makes the series, and all Bioware titles for that matter, unique because people on the forum argue about it too much? Sorry, I don't get it. 
My best case scenario would be Blackwall being available for m/m romance. Either gay or bi is fine.
I definitely would feel bad for those that got fewer options, though.
My best case is having the unannounced LI be the other racegated one.
