Let's ignore the fictional race factor because it is not relevant to real-world sexuality.

 

A bisexual Blackwall means that straight women and gay men have three companion romances each while straight men and lesbians only have one companion romance each.

 

A bisexual Vivienne, on the hand, means that everyone has two companion romances each.

 

BioWare hasn't really convinced us that non-companion romances can work as effectively as companion romances, so they should strive to give everyone as many companion romances as possible.

Companion romance?  Josephine and Cullen count, and with my proposal, neither is race gated...  Bioware has repeatedly stated that the writing budget is the same for all romances and there will be similar amounts of content.  The advisors count as full romances.

Now if you talk about lesbians in webcomics, a lot of them are made for fanservice, not the best example.

 

Other than that, not really, lesbians in media are still mostly treated as a joke, fanservice fuel, a phase or a consolation prize.
