Ha ha. Ok, I will, but I have to admit that before the announcement of MP, I was pretty "meh" about this game. I figured I would play it eventually, but now that I know MP is coming, it will be a day one purchase. Don't want to miss the first weekend challenges!

I plan to. It's a bit silly to buy a game and not play through the SP portion at all.

I wonder if the first challenge will be the week of launch?

I can't come up with a reason why I wouldn't.

I will likely play the MP first, like I did with ME3 just to see how the combat plays out/ has changed and then go into the SP. With a bioware game I don't play for the combat but the story so I wouldn't miss the SP game.

Does anyone know if multiplayer contains any sort of spoilers for singleplayer?

Depending on the final achievement list, I might decide to go MP first.

It's the multiplayer component I'm about a million billion percent less likely not to touch, and even then, I fully intend to dabble lightly in it! Goodness me. :P

I honestly consider getting to know the lay of the land kind of a spoiler, but I know most people disagree. I just remember, in ME3, I'd booted up those launch maps in MP, and when I got to those places in the N7 missions I felt kind of "cheated" out of any sense of wonder at the environments, heh.

I realize of course that there's random generation involved with Inquisition, but it's been stated that the dungeons are based on in-game zones, so meh, that's a big part of why I'm waiting. I want to mentally associate them with the story first, you know?

Of course I'm going to play the single player.

Side note: If I was Bioware I'd lock a part of the multiplayer behind the single player, like if you finish the game then you unlock a stage and/or unique weapons in multiplayer,Bioware put a lot of work into their games(story, characters, setting) and I think people should experience them.

I'm planning on doing a singleplayer run first. After that I'll probably get sucked in the MP part for a looong time. Or at least that's how it went for ME3... :D

Of course I'm going to play the single player first.

However, that being said, when I played ME3 the first time, I didn't touch MP until I was very near the end of the SP.

I don't see myself holding off that long this time, both because of how immense and long the SP game sounds like it will be and because I'm really looking forward to this MP.

I could easily see myself pulling a sort of 60/40 on this... 60% of the time I'll be in SP, and 40% of the time I'll be in MP.

The real question for me will be how much will I try to split time between DAI and Destiny. I'm getting a bad feeling, as much as I loved the alpha/beta of Destiny and despite how many of my friends are picking it up, I may very well binge on it September/October/early November and then drop it like a hot potato for all-DAI, all-the-time come November 18th. Because splitting time between SP and MP will already be a timesink in and of itself.

I'm sure I will play single player first, too. I enjoyed the first two games greatly and I'm interested to see where the story goes. That being said, my excitement for the game jumped immensely with the announcement of multiplayer.

I will mainly play single player, and possibly play mp a little bit.

Will pretty much guarantee that I will spend far more time in SP than MP...  probably 10 to 1.   Since I will also likely play much of the MP portion solo, does that also count?

who would buy a Dragon Age game only for multiplayer?? I'm sure it will be fun.. But certainly nothing in comparison to the Singleplayer
well I suppose stranger things have happened

I'll start playing MP on day 1 but will probably wait for all the DLC to drop before doing SP, with the rationale based on my ME3 experience. I waited for all the DLC before playing ME3 and after I'd finished I realized what a huge part of the experience the DLC contained [spoilers ahead]: about 15 hours of content (/50), one of the key companions (Javik), two of the best powers (flare and dominate), most of the best guns, and of course the extended cut. It would have been a much shorter and less satisfying experience without all this stuff. Maybe DA will be different but I'm not taking that chance. I'm also someone who typically plays through these stories only once.

I would assume it would be hard to find anyone on BSN who wouldn't at least check out the SP, but that being said, I'll play both but probably won't touch MP that much until I finish SP. I'll play MP as a cool down after playing what I assume will be an engaging yet heavy story.

I'll play it for the lulz, because the SP already looks like a joke from all the twitter activity and released videos.

Probably wont even touch MP until I'm done with SP, unless friends really want to play it.

Before the announcement I was pumped.

Now I am double-pumped for DAMP and the weekend challenges.

But there is no way I'm skipping the main game

Pre-ordered the game long before MP was announced so will do those play through's as planned apart from weekend challenges.
Do enough to get the pack and back to SP.
