The auto aim on Destiny will line your shots up provided you get it close enough first. That is if you start off hip firing at the upper torso area and then scope aim while you're firing it will have 'locked' on to a specific areas of your enemies, if you're using the sight and the recoil is dragging your shots over the shoulder the sight will 'correct' itself and your recoil will drag your shots toward your enemies head instead. In short the game is compensating for your poorly placed shot when they happen.
Similar to ME auto aim which locks on (and was very annoying on insanity) but over the top with the auto lining of head shots.
In FPS the sights will line up wherever your gun is pointed if you're aiming at the floor you have the reticule aimed too low while you're not shooting, you'll have to practice keeping it at around enemy head height. Imagine there's a guy around every corner and think where your reticule would need to be to deal with him.
Have fun.
Thanks for the info!
I must thumb the sight around too much, I've never had the bugger auto aim yet. (at least not that I've noticed)
But then I do a lot of hiding and scoping and tiny little moves on the sight, and don't pull a trigger until I see a head under the circle. I'm too slow and careful liing up shots.....guess that's one reason why I suck so badly at PvP against all the run-at-you-and-shoot types.....I just don't have the control to do that.
