Really, nothing but Destiny. I've sold that game after playing for 3 days. I really didn't expect THIS kind of gameplay in 2014.

Destiny is a fun game but lacks the tone of urgency that Mass effect has. ME's story also kicks Destiny right in the daddy bags as well.

If Bungie had Bioware's writing team and lead designers for the interactive narrative and dialogue wheel (as well as permission to use it from EA) they would make the best Mass Effect ever.
The way it feels to steer the Sparrow vehicle in Destiny? That's how I want the Mako to feel. The way it feels exploring the environments in Destiny; the level design, the aesthetic feel of the maps? That's how I want NextME to feel.
But the story and narrative in Destiny? That's leagues below Mass Effect.
From what I hear, it sounds like they had a story. They just ripped it all out.
"What is this? Moral choices? In my game? WTF? Get those outta there, now! A guy is talking for more than three sentences, GET THAT OUTTA MY GAME!"

If you look at some of the deliberately leaked stuff from bungie you get a sense of just how much they ripped out. Angry Joe spells it out for you if you'd prefer that which I kinda did it was a great review.

But when it comes down to plot Mass effect shits on destinys story arc.
honestly if Bioware went all out on the next mass effect and made it similar to destiny in the fact that you can play as multiple races together doing missions, levels/purchasing upgrades etc and having an amazing story that we know they can produce id mark out so hard and would throw all the money at them that I can possibly afford.

Mass Effect comes down to characters and storytelling. Destiny comes down to holding down the fire button for obscene amounts of time at armies of enemy clones.

ME3's mulitiplayer is way better. WAY better. In fact Destiny stole many elements of ME3's MP. ME3 MP is awesome, especially on PC.

Nope they have practically nothing in common in terms of MP.

So are we in agreement yet that ME should be at least partly open world? Not in the ME1 sense obviously I mean an actual world with things it. (Bring back the arcade)

tbh destiny pvp is probably the only thing it has going for it, apart from the atrocious netcode.. makes BF4s netcode look state of the art lol.
this is just an opinion though, but i've always preferred versing people not the computer - Mass effect multiplayer is basically destiny PVE when you think about it.
*dinklebot scans* - err ive casually set off another alarm heres 3 waves of enemies for the 50th time. Very original!
Even if it was a drop in/drop out system to begin with like borderlands and you could have 2-4 people playing with you as silent protagonists made to look like N7 operatives, have the same gear just have a mask/helmet - as soon as you go into someone elses game as an example, that way it doesn't screw with whatever the story may be or if certain NPCs need to come with you on certain missions (like loyality ones)

Thankfully, I didn't buy into the hype - I knew that was bulls**t as soon as I saw it. But for a coop FPS on PS3, its fun.

Well, if what we've seen in DA:I (and I agree, it's not that much... Or too much for some, but I digress), then I expect for ME:N to be open world (or rather universe). I believe that Mike Laidlaw said somewhere that all of DA:O could fit in one area of DA:I.
That's a pretty massive engine.

A bit long (and entitled) but worth thinking about. Fans are figuring out how to get into locked areas of maps and have dug out locked content on the disc Destiny actually is a lot bigger and does go for longer than 10 hours you simply aren't allowed to play it.
I really hope this doesn't catch on and become a thing in the industry because it looks like about half the game is hidden. Possible sparrow races, gambling, extra maps extra levels, cut scenes.

I think the franchise your thinking of is Halo, and Sony payed a lot of money to market it on their platform since they really want their "Halo killer" but after release and the reception clearly shows Destiny is no "Halo killer".Remember back while Destiny was in development and some people were claiming it would be better than Mass Effect?

"Destiny is no Halo killer"
Hell even the fanboys over at bungie are saying they love the game but it's getting dropped at the first sign of something better.
