This has sort of worked for me, but not completely. One character that hadn't uploaded at all it now fully uploaded. However, a character which before had only uploaded name and level, has now also uploaded his appearance, but still no story. Guess I'll have to settle for playing around in the Keep for a while.

Still, thanks for the advice :)

As long as your rank , class, race, ect. uploaded its all good . The story doesn't get uploaded into the Keep you still have to make all the decisions again !

Really? I was under the impression that that it loaded in your story. Seems kinda pointless to even have the import system without it.

The Keep is not an import system. It is a website that lets you make all the decisions from the previous two games. The import from DAO was hella buggy so they looked for a way for us to make all our previous decisions without using that buggy mess. The sync is only the portrait/name/race- stuff like that  There is no story import.

Could you give a source for this? From the previews I saw, it seemed to imply that loading in a character would populate the tapestry with the choices you made in that game but then allowed you to change them if you so wanted.

I am a Keeper (beta tester) and I am letting you know that story does not import.

if you need an official reply I pulled this from the main keep thread in scuttlebutt

Brian Mills:

Syncing of achievements and heroes does not need the save on your local machine.  Allowing you to change between Xbox 360 / PS3 / PC / PS4 / Xbox One between Dragon Games is one of the major reasons we are doing the Keep the way we are.

It also seems that some people think we are syncing savegame data for your heroes, based on the videos; there's not been any change for that since the most recent FAQ, and we still don't have any direct importing of savegame plot data.  You'll have to customize your world state whether your heroes are imported or not, unless you are happy with whatever the default is.  What you can do is select which hero is in your world state, vs. the world state for your hero.

Huh. Pity. Seems an odd decision. Even with the import bugs, it would save a lot of time for the player to have the tapestry pre-populated.

im almost certain it has something to do with the fact that my Dragon age origins ultimate edition is licensed through steam, and not origin... curse you origin!
