My first DAO/DAA/DA2 playthrough was on the Xbox 360. My  next 3 were on the PC. Furthermore, my Xbox 360 characters where on my @hotmail.com EA/Origin account while the other 3 are on my @gmail.com account.

When I logged into BSN under my @hotmail.com account to see my characters to make sure that I will be able to import them into the Keep, I found something odd. Well my DA2 character is there along with the achievements. Furthermore, the achievements for my DAO/DAA character is there......but the actual character isnt. There is a big fat 0 in the slot where it has the number of characters.

How can this be? The achievements for this character is showing up, but the actual character is nowhere to be found.

So how does this affect him being imported into The Keep? Does this mean I will get a generic looking Dalish Elf as the Warden?

Also since I have two accounts @hotmail.com origin account and @gmail.com origin account, how do I make it possible to import all 4 characters from both accounts into one Keep account?

You'll get a generic looking portrait, I think.Hawke's will be customizable in game, so the Warden will probably be the same if he/she could appear in game.

Well that sucks because I do not want the immersion to be destroyed by having some generic Dalish Elf that looks NOTHING like mine.

It will also suck because his achievements are there and is showing up, but yet it is saying there are 0 characters available. It isn't my fault. I should not get a generic character due to some technical issue that I did not cause.

I don't see the issue if the only difference is seeing the appearance of your hero in there or a default appearance. The appearance won't translate to anything in DAI because it is just an image and nothing more. Once you have set the world state in the Keep you won't be going back unless you want a new world state but you will be in the actual for far longer on which a missing image has zero effect.

And what immersion? It is just a program in which you can set world states and not a game so I don't see what immersion can possibly be broken.

Well the look of my Warden is imported. IF and I mean IF the Warden shows up in the game in any capacity, I want him to look closer to my Dalish Elf with brown skin, black hair, black face tattoos, and light brown eyes......not some generic "Caucasian" looking elf running around claiming to be the Hero of Fereldan/Warden Commander.

The appearance is not imported into the game. It's only in the keep that you will see it.

From what I have heard you won't be able to combine any characters from different emails.

I'm sure you can still recreate all four saves in the keep though.

Then again, with the switch from Eclipse to Frostbite 3 it's almost impossible to have the same looking character appear in DAI.

So now we cannot combine our characters from other accounts?

Geez, this just keeps getting worse and worse....

I have this same problem OP.

DA2 is fine. But DAO only has my first character uploaded that shows level 1. None of my other characters uploaded. I realized I didn't have the box checked to upload data. But now I can't log in to EA servers from the game anyway for some reason. :/

You can, it's easy. You can share world states with your friends, so you must also be able to share them with another account of your own, right? You log onto account 1, load your Warden import and tweak your plot flags, then share it with account 2. Log onto account 2 and open the world state you just shared with yourself, and import your Hawke to it and do some more tweaking. When you're done make sure it is on whatever account you plan to play Inq on, and send it to DAI.

No problem.

Hi everyone!

I'm a looooong time lurker, but a first time poster. I'm having the same problem as the OP. I'm about 3/4 of the way through DAO, but my character is nowhere to be found in my online profile. All my achievements are there but my character count says 0. I did a little googling, and a post on the EA Answer HQ says that this occurs if "In the Character Creator, you did not hit the "Upload Character" button". I can't remember what I did in the character creator, but I might not have chosen that. Does that mean that all my decisions aren't being saved and that I would have to start over in order to have a save I can import into the keep? There doesn't seem to be a way to undo that choice, even though I have chosen the setting to upload data. I know I can recreate my choices using the keep, but I really wanted to have a save file to import.

All your decisions will not show up in the Keep anyway. You will always have to set them manually unless you want the default on all choices. The only thing imported will be a hero image, race, class and gender.

There is NO save file import. Achievements are imported but they change nothing at all. I wish BioWare hadn't shown this part because expectations don't meet with what it really does, which is nothing.

When I watched the keep reveal video it looked like your decisions did import. They chose a DAO and DA2 profile and it seemed like all the decisions were set from those. Edit: I just checked into this and you're right, the keep does not import your decisions. Thanks for letting me know!

Anyway, after some further investigation it looks like my problem is probably caused by my having played DA2 before DAO. This apparently makes it so that your profiles for DAO do not sync correctly. This seems to be a known issue, but they don't have any fix for it currently.  :crying:

Hi guys a quick update, I just used the method that shinian recommended and it worked. My characters are now showing with their stats spells/skill sets/gear and avatars.

The player diagnostics are all green. The characters that all DLC's were done on after the original story is not showing(normal origin storys are showing without DLC) , this is because it is a know issue with DLC, that were done after DAO but it is there according to the diagnostics the story is present even though you can't see/view it.

If you have characters or gear not showing then do this from shinian.

OK, I got the fix for this from someone else on here so I can now pass it on.  :)

I had to delete my profile characters. Both the character and the data files. For some reason it is in 2 different places.

Once I did that, I loaded up DAO and made sure I was connected to the EA server, I then loaded up my save for each character. In each character I changed up his or her inventory, swapped out an equipped amulet or ring for another one, for instance. Then I re-saved the character.

I repeated that for each character. Then I left DAO running and connected for an hour, since the site says it could take an hour for the changes to appear. I have no idea if this was necessary. Technically it shouldn't be.

Finally, I checked my online profile and could see all my characters loaded successfully and updated.

I just want to see if it updates fully. Many thanks.

I see 5 Therons and one Natia

No, its not just if someone views it. Read my post above. :)

Connect to the EA servers while you play. I never saw an upload character option either

From what one of the devs tweeted, you will be able to modify your Hawke and warden if s/he is in game within the actual game, not the keep.

True, but that is ONLY if you imported a character to the Keep. If you did, then the game would recognize that your Warden/Hawke may look different from the default so you will be given the option to recreate them.

HOWEVER, if you did not import then the game would assume you did not play DAO or DA2 and would not allow you to recreate them. Thus you will be stuck with the default Wardens and default Hawke.

This is where my complaint comes in. We should be able to recreate them regardless if they were imported or not. I cannot import my first Warden from 2009 cause his profile is not showing up. I cant load that game up either cause I long since deleted that save file from my 360 back in 2012 to make room for ME3 DLC. I deleted my DA2 save from my 360 as well and yet that character shows up.

Now if my Dalish Elf Warden shows up in DAI or any future DA title, it will be some default looking one....

Where are you getting this from? They have said nothing to this effect at all that I am aware of. The only thing having an uploaded character does is save you the steps of entering their name, gender, race, class, and origin. It dies nothing else. It doesn't tell the Keep whether you had a default appearance or not. If there is an option in the Keep indicating that your character is using a non-default appearance (and there is no official confirmation that I am aware of their being such an option) then you'll be able to change that option even if you are starting from a blank slate because you have access to all the same options in the Keep regardless of whether you imported a character or not.

Edit: And if you are absolutely terrified about this possibility just make characters of the appropriate name/class/gender/race in Origins for all four of your characters and upload them to a single account. Change a single detail in their appearance, and boom imaginary problem solved. Alternatively you could just recreate their stories on a  single account once the Keep comes out since importing a character from Origins has no impact, but whatever.

I'm always connected to the servers while I play, and I definitely have the upload profile information option ticked. It is apparently a known issue that if you played DA2 before DAO (which I did), then your DAO profiles never upload into Origin properly. There just isn't any fix for it right now.
