Actually you don't, there's an option in Steam to put modifiers to the command line like -enabledeveloperconsole, which works fine. Forget the exact name of the tool, but it's in the preferences.

Hmmm, it's been so long since I enabled it I don't remember what I did but that does ring bells for me...and I also remember editing an xml file..*ponder*

You might well be able to do it through xml as well, I haven't tried. But you don't have to do it that way. Or at least, when I removed the command line modifier from Steam it turned off the console. Can't remember actually setting it up, that was like, 4 years ago :P

Yeah same here, I'll go check out the command line in Steam and hope.  I have noticed though, that on my BSN profile on DA2 it says I'm online, which I am...currently trying to update my canon Hawke.  Yet I don't see that for Origins when I'm playing, even though I'm logged in both in game and on BSN...odd.

I actually have the same problem with DA2. The equipped weapon is correct, but the armour and belt/amulet/rings are not. Hawke's profile picture is also an old one, but the full-body image is current.

It's not really bothered me though, since the level, stats and talents/abilities are all correct.

I had the same problem, but finally found the way to upload my character's profile. First load the game and go options, online and make sure you have upload screenshots and character profile ticked. Then go player profile and choose screenshots, select all and press upload selected. Wait for it to finish and then go to inventory and change your warden's armor, rings(just change something) and save the game. Finally go to BSN log in, then player profiles and choose profile diagnostics. If everything was succesfull you are going to see your character's name with 4 number of files ticked. Important, make sure you logged in game when you do that, and you must have screenshots to upload, I did this yesterday night and now everything uploaded to my profile.

My character with Dragon Age Awakening, Golems of Amragaak, and Wich Hunt finished.

Unfortunately, this didn't work for me. When I try to upload the screenshots it says "Unable to access your online profile storage. The account information provided may be invalid." My account information is definitely correct though. I only have one Origin account, and my DA2 characters upload to my profile just fine. I'm glad you managed to get yours working though. Hopefully this will be help someone else as well.  :)

Sorry to dig this thread up again after a month, but yesterday's Keep livestream mentioned that the issue with DAO profiles not showing up if you played DA2 first has been fixed.

I can confirm that it is indeed working for me.

You need to do the following:

1) Start DAO and ensure that you are signed into the servers using the same user profile as you are using for this site.

2) Load the savegame for the character/s you want to upload.

3) Change your character's armour, weapons, acessories, etc. You can change them back again, if you wish.

4) Save the game and exit.

5) Go to your DAO profile webpage. Chances are, there is still no data.

6) Wait a few minutes to an hour and reload. Your characters should now be displaying correctly.

Guys i doesn't matter! The only thing the character selection does in the Keep is save the race and gender of the character, not the visuals. And they allready said that you will be able to customise previous protagonists in game should they show up, so what is the problem? You can just pick one of the pre-defined characters with the right race and gender combination and everything will be exactly the same like if you imported your character directly into the keep.

Because its a feature of DAO, and some people wanted it to work correctly?

And now it does, so its no longer an issue.

It matters (albeit only cosmetically) if you want your PCs' portraits to import into the Keep.

My first DAO/DAA/DA2 playthrough was on the Xbox 360. My  next 3 were on the PC. Furthermore, my Xbox 360 characters where on my @hotmail.com EA/Origin account while the other 3 are on my @gmail.com account.

When I logged into BSN under my @hotmail.com account to see my characters to make sure that I will be able to import them into the Keep, I found something odd. Well my DA2 character is there along with the achievements. Furthermore, the achievements for my DAO/DAA character is there......but the actual character isnt. There is a big fat 0 in the slot where it has the number of characters.

How can this be? The achievements for this character is showing up, but the actual character is nowhere to be found.

So how does this affect him being imported into The Keep? Does this mean I will get a generic looking Dalish Elf as the Warden?

Also since I have two accounts @hotmail.com origin account and @gmail.com origin account, how do I make it possible to import all 4 characters from both accounts into one Keep account?

I believe that Mike Laidlaw himself said that at this time the Warden will not be making an appearance, that they would be mentioned in passing if anything, so what the Warden looks like won't matter, Hawke on the other hand will be customizable at some point before they appear in the game.

Don't worry and I hope this helps.

Anyone have any idea on how to get DA2 to sync to BSN? The first time it synced, BSN came up with my Hawke at level 6 when I had long since finished the game. I deleted that character (which may not have been a good idea) and now nothing will show up, except my achievements from that earlier save are still there. DA2 says I'm logged in at the main menu, and after I quit a game and go back to the main menu it says I'm logged out. Incredibly frustrating.

Syncing is down right now while they try and get it to work with the keep I believe.  I could never get DA2 to sync anyways.

Not to the Keep, to BSN itself. It worked once and now it refuses to update.

For people having trouble with Ultimate Edition on steam, go to your ini files in Documents->Bioware-Dragon Age->Settings and in all ini files make sure all "[OnlineOptions]" have a 1 at the end (Open with notepad). Disable Console; edit original file change back to original when editing a game file found here. Disable and delete mod files. Run DA:O through steam client; Make sure you are signed into Dragon Age Servers. Equipe a different accessory or piece of armour and save your game. Exit game entirely. Got to your profile in BWSN. Load up game through steam client and resume. Play the game and have fun with it for about 1 hour. press Alt + Tab and refresh your BWSN profiles and either sync your game or click the DA:O Ultimate Edition link (if it doesn't load press back and repeat.) Give it a day or so. You might end up having your picture uploaded.

This is what I did to fix mine. It took 12 hours for it to update, but it worked.
